thnx!! I will start taking better pics...I just never noticed until I did the side by side! I am pretty bottom heavy....so i am waiting to lose some "thigh weight" tomorrow is my 6 week visit . I should be cleared to work on Monday I have a desk job so I could have went back weeks ago. I felt pretty good right away. I think I did too much too soon. I had this as well.....diagnosed in 2004. did not want to take the meds. went back last year...said it was gone! I just had surgery a month ago so it did not go away bcz of surgery. Oh...and I have always regained....exercise, meds....I think the best motivation is seeing the weight off, wearing smallest clothes. Once you get there, you won't want to go back. I am 6 weeks post today...yesterday I bought a 14 top and it looks great on me. well I wish you luck.... the Vitamins and supplements are not a big issue....most of us were taking many meds anyway....those will be replaced with supplements. I know that UH has free classes ....some for pre-op...and some for post-op. Maybe you could stop by one and ask questions to people who have gone through the surgery. that is basically all they do is discuss what they went through and ask each other questions. but this is a great forum to ask too. do you think he would go with you to at least hear what they have to say? I was very fortunate that my insurance covered it...I just had to meet the deductible....and that was all met before the actual surgery. I wish you luck....it is a major decision and I was not sure if I was going to go through with it. do you think he does not want you to go through it because he is worried ...possibly that you will get thin and healthy and leave? I don't know you but that is a HUGE issue with spouses....they fear they will be left. My spouse shares these thoughts with me.....it is normal to be worried..... hi there.... I had surgery at UH Parma. Best decision ever....still healing! tomorrow is 6 weeks since surgery. I was also diagnosed with pseudo tumor.......I was told it had gone away...but those headaches can be so painful I hope you do what is best for you.......it is great to have a support team...but ultimately it is your decision. ^^yep...he did my surgery. yes, I really like him....and his staff! His nurse is awesome. The dietician is helpful. Did you have to go to the monthly dietician classes? some stuff was repetitive but all helpful good luck...how exciting! you are the first one I have found that has same surgeon ???? hi! I have a desk job I had my bypass on 10/26. I am off work until 12/12. I am positive I could go back earlier but I'm getting paid while off so I'm treating this as a mini vacation. I have been up and moving since I have been home...dishes, laundry, vacuuming etc. I have grocery shopped too. I feel great. I'm wondering when I can begin working out...besides walking. I had surgery last Wednesday. I feel great! I should get my JP drain removed on Thursday. I have been out a few times already. Monday the nurse called and was not happy that I was not getting in my liquids or protien. I was getting in about 20oz of liquids....15 grams of protien ..maybe even less protien... I was only home for 3 days..off meds for a day and a half. She wanted more liquids and protien. I am trying but it's hard! Today I have 32 grams of Protein and 34 oz of liquids. hi! I got home around noon today I took some liquid oxycodeine at 1245.. I was having a pain in my side that I did not have at all in the hospital. it's time for meds again...I think I can wait a bit longer so far today, I have 2 oz of OJ....4oz of broth..and about 8 oz of Water.
