  1. Just ordered the nectar - asked for them to send the fruity stuff since I'm so over vanilla/choc/strawberry. Hopefully it'll arrive soon and be tasty!
  2. My happy weight will be about a size 10/12. Far cry from the 20 I'm in now. (40 lbs off still in the same size - riddle me that). When I was 23, kickboxing every day, in the pool on off days and just dating my husband that's what size I was. And a M top. I decided early on not to get caught up in hitting a size or number. I know my healthy weight is probably "overweight" based on BMI simply because I'm 5'10. I have always had large breasts and some serious curves around my thighs. And I'm okay with that, since that's just how my mama made me. So if you feel great, your health is great, you're eating great - don't get stuck on a number
  3. I'm in NC - we hit 40 overnight and I'm trying not to move from my foot warmers (aka dogs). I used to always be freezing, then I was always super heat sensitive and now I'm freezing again. Listen, my brain is already bipolar, I don't need my body following suit. And I just swapped to the winter comforter!!! Brr.
  4. That's just your hormones going whacko. Huge pain in the ass but - No need to worry ????
  5. Hot does okay some days. Cold anything doesn't work. Thank you for your well wishes [emoji173]
  6. I use a lot of tea remedies. I used to manage several Teavanas (if you've ever heard of those) but tea just won't sit well. It's pretty distressing actually [emoji20]
  7. Haha! My dogs are going to be the fat ones here soon, they get my remnants! They're miniature pinschers and LOVE human treats - very rarely do they get them, and only things like scrambled egg. I get so many laughs out of your posts! I've been doing unjury chicken soup, and it helps a lot. I did go for some crackers, which is naughty. Hoping to be back into the swing of things soon!
  8. Absolutely possible. My best friend is a man - and there's 0 sexual interest. He's like my brother, it'd be creepy. He and my husband have actually known each other longer than I've know either of them. When I was younger and liked to party a lot, even drunk off our asses, there was never anything there. So, yes. It's definitely possible.
  9. Thank you. Did you make your own in a crock pot?
  10. This happened to me, and I had to have surgery 3 days ago to correct it. I bled very very heavily for a month. Large clots - once it was bad enough to go to the ER, I'd already lost a ton of blood and was scheduled for surgery the next day. And I saw my obgyn last week, who said to wait it out. So I had emergent surgery 4 weeks after being sleeved and it's horrible. I have endometriosis and endometrial hyperplasia (the hylerplasia part I just found out). So long story short, if it's that heavy, MAKE them test your blood counts.
  11. I just asked a similar question. Peanut Butter on crackers worked well. I used whole grain crackers and natural peanut butter. Just get through the sickness. For tea - herbal ginger tea, peppermint, etc are good for tummies. Green tea is not as caffeinated as you think. Black tea has about 20% of a cup of coffee, green tea usually the same as decaf (5-10%) so don't let that worry you. If you stay away from black tea you'll be good.
  12. Thanks everyone. Peanut butter seems to be going ok. I'll try some greek yogurt as well, I keep it on hand.
  13. I have some, but it knocks me out. It's just a general unwell feeling. I had a cracker with pb. Waiting a bit to see how it does.
  14. Wow, 1 month. I like your 3 month plan better haha. I barely hit my Fluid goals without adding in alcohol, which will dehydrate you. Everything going on in my body, the last thing I want is alcohol. Maybe occasionally down the road but I cannot imagine it now. If you do drink, make sure you have extra fluids that day and don't forget 1 drink is going to hit you a lot harder than it used to.
  15. Normal for me - when I take my meds at night and drink at a faster pace than throughout the day, you'd think I had a little monster inside wanting out. I think a lot of people's sleeves talk to them. I wouldn't be concerned.
  16. Wow, I'm sorry you had a bad experience!!! I was kept overnight, nothing by mouth until the swallow test the following morning. I was offered a 2nd night if I felt I needed it. I'm glad it looks like things have turned a new corner for you. Best of luck!!
  17. I seem to be at a bit of a cross-road. I'm 5 weeks post op, and had another emergent unrelated surgery 3 days ago. I think the swelling and trauma of that surgery (also abdomimal) has caused everything to swell up and get angry again. So, I feel like crap and am nauseous - I don't think our bodies are meant to undergo 2 surgeries in a month. I want to revert to something like the BRAT diet to help the nausea (I know it's not sleeve related, totally different feeling). But of course those are all carbs! Peanut Butter crackers or plain noodles with butter sound good - but are so horrible for my sleeve! Does anyone have any secrets to eating tummy ache comfort foods like that? I'm barely keeping up with fluids which I know is horrible. I posted yesterday on having to nibble at my food, which seema to be an okay thing temporarily (for me only, you do you and follow your plan). I was doing so well just getting off my mushies and everything. Help! Please
  18. Dr. Heider in Mooresville. That's only 90min from you and he and his staff are excellent. You could also look into Duke and UNC Chapel Hill
  19. Nausea and the overfull feeling - I can wake up with it, after not having eaten since dinner the night before.
  20. Woohoo! You're doing excellent!
  21. Go to http://www.si03.com. This is their home page. Hover your mouse over the right hand side of the page where it says "Monthly Special" and the information for ordering will appear. You have to call them and have a credit card, but it's easy to do and the package arrives pretty quickly. This protein got me through a solid month of liquids-only, and more. I ended up ordering the 2.2lb containers from luckyvitamin.com; it wasn't cheap, but I ordered a container a month until I had plenty of variety to get me through all the diets (surgery was postponed twice, so I did full liquids for 13 days the first time, 10 days the second time, and finally 14 days pre-op and another 14 days post-op) and beyond.Thank you!!
  22. Where can you currently order the sample pack? There's a lot of links on google if you just search it but seem to be outdated and/or out of stock. I feel like I'm spending a fortune on protein I don't like.
  23. Right now they're *barely* tolerable. Which is more than I can say for shakes. I like the quest bbq chips. I can eat about half a serving for 10g protein. Same as half the bar.
  24. I'm choking down half if it. I hate hate hate the feeling of having to force food in. Yuck. But otherwise I'd have no Protein, little Water, and few calories. Oh how the times have changed.
  25. I drink vitamin water zero but that's a brilliant idea to mix in unflavored protein! I'm going to try tomorrow!
