    not hitting goals

Get some unflavored Protein powder - I have GENEPRO & unjury chicken. I add the chicken flavors to chicken broth or Soups. The genepro mixes in other soups (be careful of the temperature), yogurts, cottage cheese, puddings, coffee, teas too. Try adding the Premier Protein (4 ounces) into some coffee and Fairlife protein milk is also good. I'm almost 3 Months out and these have helped me meet my protein goals. smoothie king also has a gladiator protein that I enjoy on occassion. I have tried the nectar protein but don't care for them very much. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    What's Wonderland mean

I add flavor to my Water with sugar free fruit juices, it changes the flavor and makes it easier to get more water in. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    Kinda Freaking out...

I had a hernia repaired and my gallbladder removed at the same time they did my VSG. Talk to your surgeon. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  6. Thank you for posting, I'm almost 3 Months out and find myself getting bored of the same foods. I'm still losing but know I need to cut out the carbs or I gonna be in real trouble! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    2.5 months out, 50lbs gone!

Congratulations on your loss. I too had surgery on September 26 and I'm down 45 pounds. My goal weight is 150 - 165, but it's getting closer every day!! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    September Sleevers!

My surgery was September 26th. VSG, gallbladder removed and hernia repair! I'm doing well overall, lost 41 pounds so far, have no food restrictions, meeting my Protein goals most days with food - not shakes. I am still struggling with Fluid intake often (my taste buds don't like Water anymore and I'm getting tired of the same flavors). I'm open to suggestions. My incisions have healed, I have no pain unless I lay on my right side (still tender), my scars are fading. People are telling me I look skinny - (no one outside of my immediate family knows) my clothes no longer fit or are baggy. I found a local support group I really love. This 1st Thanksgiving was wonderful except for the ham (vomiting the 1st time since surgery), I don't know what is up with pork! I'm never hungry. I have been able to stop my blood pressure medication & the cardiologist gave me a great report and I don't go back for a year! Overall, I'm really happy with the progress I'm making and so glad I decided to have the surgery. It feels GREAT being healthy!!! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    Gallbladder surgery

I had mine out the same day I had VSG, September 26. I have lost 40 pounds since then. It won't affect your weight loss. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  11. The things I wish I knew before surgery are: 1. Get the Vitamin Patches. 2. Avoid the Protein shakes as much as possible - try to get as much protein from real food as you can.Your taste buds will change. 3. Fluids are a constant struggle, have a variety of options available. 4. An ice pack was my best friend while recovering. 5. You will have several incisions and they do take time to heal. 6. It's difficult to lay on your right side. (I'm 6 weeks out & still can't lay on my right side). 7. unjury Protein powder taste great in chicken Soup. 8. GENEPRO is a good protein powder but be careful what you mix it with. 9. Any local support groups you can attend are very beneficial. 10. Every day it will get a little bit better. How Do You Get Protein In?

Fairlife milk is high in Protein, Syntrax nectar protein flavors Water, unjury added to chicken Soup is really good too for supplements. Tuna, cottage cheese, humus are all good sources of protein as well. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    Celiac Sleevers

I too was diagnosed with Celiac. My surgery was September 26th. It hasn't made a difference in the post op for me. In fact, I think it has helped as I've not been able to eat certain foods for years, so I don't miss them. I just say I can't eat that and move on to things I can eat.
