  1. I am 11 days post op gastric bypass and I have had a stapling pain in my lower stomach on the right side. It wraps around to my hip as well. It doesn't hurt if I stay still or lay flat on my back, but once I start moving or lift my legs, it is a stabbing pain that takes my breath away. I've tried heat and ice, but they don't help too much. I'm hoping it just a pulled muscle and not something more serious. It's not a constant pain, bit it comes and goes. I made an appointment for tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Thank you. I had an appointment yesterday and he said everything looks fine. The last couple of days I've started feeling a lot better. More good days than bad for sure from now on Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  5. I had my surgery on July 27th and went home the next day. I was doing pretty good in the hospital. Walking every hour, burping a lot, and getting in my fluids. Then when I got home everything changed. I was having so much pain that I had to keep taking my pain meds around the clock for 2 days straight. 4 days post op I could hardly get in any liquids and I ended up in the ER for dehydration. After getting IV fluids I felt way better and now set an alarm to get all my fluids in. I am still having a lot of pain around my incisions (mainly 1 that is red and very tender). Really hoping it's not inflected. Today I hit an all time low with my emotions. I cried so much and regret doing this to my body. I've also had a weird taste in my mouth and all the signs of oral thrush (probably from the antibiotics). For 2 days straight I have had horrible diarrhea and can't even keep plain water in. I have a follow up appointment Friday morning so I can speak to my surgeon about everything. I usually try to see the bright side of things, but this sucks!!!! When does it get better? If I knew this was how it was going to be, I don't think I would have gone through with surgery. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Thanks for the advice. My eyes have gotten better but I'm still bloated and full. Turns out I do have gas pains, but only in my stomach. Using Gas X strips and a heating pad, but they just don't want to come out. Hopefully if I keep walking it will start getting better Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I just had my surgery 2 days ago and yesterday I was able to get all of my fluids and no problem. I was walking around every hour and got sent home. Today I woke up feeling super full and bloated. Just by looking at my stomach it's very swollen which I'm sure is to be expected. But I am struggling getting my water in today. I have been sipping on the little medicine cups but I feel like I'm going to pop. I'm also having an issue with my eyes focusing when I look at my phone or any writing on paper. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  9. I really like this idea. I'm 3 weeks and 1 day out and I have been only doing 1200 calories a day of lean, healthy foods. First 2 days were hard and I felt very hungry, but now I find snacks and meals that are healthy and low in calories and carbs. Keeps me full through the day. But I think i may want to give your idea a shot to get my body used to those foods. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Thanks everyone! Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Also low in carbs. As I'm looking online, I'm not finding much. Starting to think protein bars aren't going to be the best thing to eat Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Looking for a good protein bar that is high in protein and low in sugar. Any ideas? Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Yeah I couldn't imagine only having liquids for that long. But I guess I better start imagining because I will be there in a month Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. My surgeon is not requiring me to do a liquid diet before surgery. He just wants me to eat a low fat diet for a few weeks before surgery. I was going to eat around 1200-1500 calories a day that includes very lean meats and vegetables. I was thinking about putting myself on a liquid diet for 4 days before my surgery. Will that help shrink my liver to prevent complications, or do I need to do a longer liquid diet? Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  17. I lived I La Jolla. I moved down there after high school to go to college. I'm 32 years old. Washington state is beautiful in the summer, but the rain in the winter gets really old. We are moving back to the Sacramento area around the end of the year. I love San Diego! My aunt and uncle live there (by USD) and we are trying to plan a trip later this year Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
