@@kc13 I'm glad they found something that worked for you. My hub went home today too . I'm surprised we didn't see you circling the hall. He slept pretty much the entire time at the hospital. Didn't even need the melatonin. He's been somewhat stubborn in terms of his drinking and walking and gets mad at me if I say anything. He says the incision pain isn't bad but keeps complaining about the gas but yet doesn't want to do the two things the DOCTOR and EVERY NURSE told him. He hates the way the narcotic tastes so he's barely using it. Hopefully tomorrow he will move more. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi @@kc13! Hope they get you feeling better soon. They seemed so sure in the pre op classes that they had you prepped to not experience the nausea. In a few weeks this will all be a fading memory. My hubs goes into Richmond tomorrow morning for his sleeve and mine is 1/9 - tried to move me to yesterday but it was too close to the hubs to work it logistically. @@necarv you might want to see if you can make an appt with him. The pre-op classes are all Liz and the "physical" is with a regular physician. Doesn't look like surgery is happening for me Monday. @@kc13 they are hard to find. Even on amazon @@necarv why did they switch? Liz called me today to see if I wanted to go in on Monday instead of 1/9! I said no at first but told her if she didn't find anyone this afternoon I'll take it. Nerves setting in. My hubs is on Wednesday and we were nervous about being 3 days apart and logistics. My husband is scheduled for surgery 12/21 and is diabetic. He is only on metformin. His A1c has been steadily going down the last 2 years. His pre-op blood work showed it at 5.1. I am hoping and praying this means he has a good chance of coming off completely. I'm also scheduled for 1/9 but not diabetic. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I went to support group tonight and there were folks there who were one week out and functioning just fine. Said the first 24 hours home just slept and were pretty much off the pain meds by day 3 post op. Said if anything only to sleep. @@tamirn No sleep study for me. I didn't have any symptoms. 2.5 months from orientation to surgery date. My hubby is going first and he's 2 months on the nose. @@tamirn the process moves so fast if you do your part. Orientation to surgery was 2 months for my hubs and I'm 2.5 months and could be sooner. @@shaylady08 that's crazy when We told Liz we weren't sure about getting the time of work she made it seem like with the drs note we had to get the time off. @@bubbz333 Dr Z was cool too. Don't be nervous. You might be able to get in sooner if you call for cancellations. I have Dr Baggs too and like him. Liz wasn't bad either. Congrats @shaylady08. I enjoy the visit with Dr Z. He explained things a lil more clearly. I'm scheduled for 1/9 and my hubby 12/21. Liz said ''tis the season for cancellations" so she is having me do all my pre-op stuff next week. The pre-op classes are 12/6 and 21 this month. Oh I thought they gave you one. I had one my last C-section and it was a life saver. I was able to come home handle the kids, baby, clean and laundry with that thing. The other 3 csections not so much lol. I'm nervous about having nausea more so than the pain. I can handle pain but am a big baby when it comes to nausea and vomiting.
