What Is Your Holiday Party Strategy?

I like to put my Water in a wine glass or cocktail glass! Also eat before so you are not the least bit hungry, that way it will be less tempting to nibble. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  2. I was sleeved on 10/25. I'm trying dry brushing. I can't say yet whether it will work or not, but it does feel invigorating before my morning shower. You use a dry body brush and gently brush toward your heart all over your body. It is supposed to increase blood flow to the skin as well as stimulate your lymphatic system releasing toxins. The brushes can be found at Wal-Mart or CVS. There are YouTube videos also. I an also taking Biotin. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Incision pain at almost 5 weeks

I feel so much better today! Spoke to the nurse yesterday. She said it could take a while to heal. Since I was feeling a little better yesterday I told her I would wait to make an appointment with the doc. This morning I woke up feeling like there was never any pain there. Weird, but so glad to feel so good. Now to devise an exercise plan! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  4. Hi guys, I'll be 5 weeks on Tuesday. I have lost about 25 pounds in all. (10 during 2 week pre op diet) the last week and a half or so my largest incision has been very uncomfortable. It's fine if I don't move, but hurts and stings when I move a certain way. Last week I was coughing and sneezing and thought that was aggravating it, but it is still bothering me. This morning before getting out of bed I touched it with my hand and it felt fine. Then I got out of bed and the gravity started the pain and stinging all over again. Is this part of the normal healing process or should I be concerned? I've had other surgeries and don't remember anything like this at 4-5 weeks post op. Getting more nervous everyday

I'm also 10/25 and have the same concerns. I've tried lots of diets that work but that I can't maintain long term. There are tons of people on the boards that have been able to maintain their weight loss. I've know 4 people who have had wls. 3 have maintained wonderfully. (Over twelve years for one) and 1 who has regained. She is an emotional eater. I think it's important to really get in touch with your relationship with food. BtW, when I cook, I think I eat less. Is that weird? Best of luck on Tuesday! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  13. Hello there! I was just wondering how many people lose proportionately? How many people's body types change all together? I have been as long as I can remember more hourglass shape proportionately. I've always considered the "girls" to be my greatest asset and my husband has always had a fondness of my rearend. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on 10/25. My husband is very supportive. He wants me happy and healthy, but doesn't care about my size. However, the last couple of days he has been making a lot of reference to my rearend and how much he is going to miss it?!? Good riddence! I say, but wonder if I will lose proportionately so it will still be the same proportion to my new and improved waist. Just wondering what others have experienced.
  14. Hello! I absolutely know what you mean! I'm getting sleeved on 10/25. My start weight was 213, but I'm only 5,1 so insurance is covering. My first visit the nurse said to be careful cause I couldn't loose an ounce before my insurance approval. Now everything is ready. Congratulations on making this decision. I can't wait to get in front of the camera for a change! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
