I had my gastric sleeve surgery yesterday as well. I am in a ton of pain and really uncomfortable. I haven't had liquids since Tuesday night since they have to do a leak test at 830 this morning. Luckily we don't have his son full time, only a few weekends a month. But yeah I am just gonna see how I feel. I told him he hurt my feelings by saying this surgery wasnt major and he apologized for it and didnt realize how serious it is. Only 9 more days until my surgery. Cant wait!!!!! I guess what bothers me is he doesnt seem that excited about it, but is that normal? Like hes happy Im doing this for my health but at the same time I dont think he knows what to say to me. Oh yeah. Im pretty good at taking care of myself but I have friends and family who are super supportive. Im just not feeling that secure with our relationship at the moment. Theres a lot going on so I dont really know how to handle this. I see so many stories of people who break up after surgery and its hard to think about. And yes I do live with him. Not really sure about how its gonna work after my surgery. He seems supportive yet says crap like that and it really frustrates me. So Im having my sleeve surgery on October 5th. And my boyfriend mentioned us going to this outdoor event on October 14th, about a week or so after my surgery. I told him that was fine as long as Im able to get up and walk around fine. He kinda smarted off and said, "you act like this is a major surgery or something." Ugh. Makes me so mad. Good luck with your approval! My surgery is scheduled for October 5th and I am so impatient! I have a countdown on my phone for my surgery. I just am ready to get this process started and start my new life. I know how you feel lol lemme know if you get approved! My insurance didnt cover mine so I was blessed with grandparents who are loaning me the money for my surgery and I'm paying them back. The process has gone a lot quicker. After months of battling with my insurance and freaking out because they won't cover any of it, my grandparents are loaning me the money and I got my surgery date scheduled for October 5th! I cannot wait!!! I am so excited to start this new journey in my life and finally be able to live my life and not let my weight keep me from the things I have always wanted to do.
