  2. I've been reading on here and most can only eat 2-3 oz at a time. My surgery was on 9/27 and I am not having issues eating 4 oz at a time. I am losing but worried eating too much. I eat about 4-5 times a day. Is this too much? I am getting about 50-60 grams of Protein a day. Adding Protein powder to meals. Pre-surgery 211 SW 201 Now 179.4 Thanks Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  3. My removal was approved but sleeve denied. I appealed with help from Dr and won appeal. Had one surgery on 9/27. Removal and sleeve. Dr did tell me that if she did not feel could do both once in there would only do removal, but everything worked out. My appeal showed that I did lose weight initially with band but had slips (which meant all Fluid removed for 3 months at a time) the would have to work back up, never could find right fill. It was a lengthy appeal but it helped me win. Good luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  4. My dr said not for 6 weeks. Crazy I know but thankfully I have help so not too bad. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. I started back after 4 weeks one cup per day. Use to drink about 5-6 per day. One cup is all I can do. My team told me should drink decade, but am drinking regular. Helps me with bowels and only caffeine I have. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. I had pain like that 4 weeks out, had to have ct scan also (only made me drink 1 cup of fluid) and turns out hematoma due to doing to much. Out of work another 2 weeks. Can't walk as much as before as pulls when walking and hard time sleeping pulls when I move too much. Got abdominal binder which works well. Glad wasn't too bad for you. Hope your recovery is fast Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  7. I was out for 4 weeks went back to work for one week and now out again this is 2nd week. I pulled stitches inside on left where my port was (had revision from and to sleeve). Not sure how I did it, think it was simply the way I bent down to pick up a pen I dropped. Everyone is different. Just take it as easy as you can. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. I had the band in 2011 hated it so many slips constantly vomiting. Had sleeve and band removed on 9/27. Down 21 lbs since surgery. Very happy no vomiting and know when to stop eating. Feel best decision I could have made Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. My friend is getting sleeved today, my surgery was 9/27. I wish I could be there now with her but have to have a test done at 230 today. Once done will go straight to hospital. So happy for her. I am going to tell her to join your group. Good luck to you all Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  14. I have that issue also, now back at work even harder for me I have always carried Water with me at work, I will eat quick lunch go right into meeting and without thinking reach for water. Thank god I have a friend at work that's in same meetings and will nudge me to make me remember. But it is hard Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  15. I am 4 weeks post-op from sleeve and on Thursday started having extreme pain at main incision site. If I bend in that direction pain is so bad brings tears. Doesn't feel like the gas I had prior. Can't sleep, can't get comfortable. Pain when I go to sit down or get up. Going to Dr tomorrow for follow up but has anyone else experienced this? Can't even bend over to put on shoes. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  16. I had my surgery on 9/28 and took off 4 weeks, wish I had taken at least 1 more week. This week was hard so busy not able to get in my Fluid or Protein so extremely tired. I have a desk job also, probably needed that extra week. Also starting yesterday lots of pain on left side. Not sure if gas or may have pulled something. Hurts like hell if sit to long or bend over. Have a follow up with Dr on Monday, so she can tell me what's up. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  18. I am going back to work tomorrow also. A little nervous as I have my routine at home also. I do work in an office and can drink and eat at my desk, but will be so busy, as I have been out 4 weeks, just hoping I can get my Protein and fluids in. My large incision is hurting a little more today, but I just think over did it today. Good luck going back to work Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  19. Sorry wish I could help you just had revision on 9/27, but had band removed at same time. I had horrible success with the band mine slipped quite a few times so all Fluid would have to come out and would have to wait at least 3 months before starting the fills again. Good luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
