  1. There's a difference between "Oooopsie ate a cookie!" and causing possible harm to yourself after a major surgery where they cut out most of an organ. Don't be ignorant. Well d*mn babbs...that was pretty douchy. Obviously she feels bad enough. Name calling? Really? TFOH Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App She wasnt talking to the original poster. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App I am originally poster and do feel shitty about it big regret Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App Obviously you made a mistake and should not do it again. Don't Beat yourself up because you can't undo what you have done. Just to be on the safe side call your surgeons office. Admit your mistake and ask what symptoms you should watch for that would indicate a complication. Be safe. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App
  2. That really isn't medically sound advice. This isn't like cheating on a diet. You had major surgery and you can cause dangerous complications! Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App

  4. @@BobScott I am a firm believer in "attitude is everything". You clearly have a dynamic and winning attitude. Your story brought me back to the birth of my first child. The doctors and nurses said they had never seem a woman who was so delighted to be in labor. What they didn't know is that many months prior I had spontaneously aborted at 4.5 months. Hell yes I was joyful to be in labor! I was getting a baby this time. No drugs and no complaints. There will be no whining from me on this journey (except that the artificially sweetened Protein drinks induce vomiting) . I will gladly put in the work for the reward of a healthy new me. Thank you for sharing your journey and being such an inspiration to us all. Keep on keeping on. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App

  11. Personally I would not. I think I would get derailed and might be hard to get going again...something else might come up and then something else. I would hope they are coming because they love you and enjoy your company. Go to the movies, picnic, gentle walk and other low key activities. I'm sure they would not need to be entertained and wouldn't want you to change your very significant self improvement plan. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App

My upper GI was irregular.. The had to have an EGD that shows I have Barrett esophagus & had H Pylori infection.. My doc wasn't sure he'd still be able to do the surgery.. But now yep still a go.. Think positive! I'm sending positive thoughts n energy Munky Thank you so much. I just kinda had a moment there. I keep worrying that I will bed denied by one of these millions of tests. Then you get a call like that. Instant stress. Much better now. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App
  15. My husband doesn't like change EVER. This will be no different and will have the added worry of major surgery. He worries enough for several people. It isn't that he doesn't support me or believe my health and wellbeing will improve. He just has a lot of anxiety. I'm doing everything I can to include him in the process. He goes to my appointments and reads all the handouts and takes me to get tests done and we talk. And talk. And talk. And talk. He knows I will do what I believe is best for me AND I know he will worry. We are who we are. It will all turn out fine in the end. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App

  22. Lol poor guy. I'm having my husband keep the scale locked in his truck for the first 4 weeks. After that bring it out only once a week. I know myself. I will be obsessed with the numbers rather than recovery. I'll find out what I've lost when I've seen the doctor. I only hope I don't do my husband bodily harm for doing as I asked when rational. 24. Feeling very stressed. Apparently my EKG was abnormal. Being referred to a cardiologist. This has been my fear all along. That I would be disqualified for surgery by one of these many tests. Anyone have this happen and turn out okay? Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App
  25. I feel like this is taking a long time, but then I read what you all are doing and I seem to be moving pretty quickly. October 22 will be 2 months and I will be done with all requirements by November 1st. That's like 10 weeks or so. I just hope there are no red flags on the tests and that there is still room on the surgery schedule. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App
