  1. Thank you guys. I know I sounded like I'm not sure about this. Honestly it is a huge change. I will take the hound ladies advice about everyday giving myself a goal. I believe that will help me. I tend to be an emotional eater and going through marriage separation is Not helping at all. I just have to pray and ask God to take my hand through this journey. I look at everyone's success and say that will be me one day . Once I get serious. I will I promise . It's like a drug addict Quitting Cold Turkey with No Help or support. It's funny because I have family members who have gone through this process and succeeded and I have a family member who have failed. I want a better life I just have to step away from bad food choices. I must say my 6 month doctor visits was nothing like some of you guys stories. It was a piece of cake. I lost , I gained, I lost, I gained. I didn't get in any trouble. We will see what the nutritionist says Oct 4th. Thank you guys again for your honesty.

  2. Ok!!!! For the shade . I understand surgery is "Grown up Stuff" that's what you said right. Anyway I am asking questions because I didn't get Fat over night. I've always been fat. I have tried and failed several times at this. I don't think by any chance this surgery is magic but hell if you ask me it almost is. Give me one person that have lost over 100 plus pounds in 6 months just changing their eating habits..... I'll wait. No one. I really just wanted to know when to seriously get on the ball with this . I haven't gained any weight by the way. Thank you for your comment.

  3. I'm sure you all have heard this question several times. I have researched and talked about it myself. I just want an honest opinion. I originally wanted to get the sleeve, but I did not want to only lose 100lbs. I want to lose more. I'm currently 378, 5'5 and I carry my weight in pretty well places . So my question is..... If I went with the sleeve will I lose weight slower than having gastric bypass? Will the sleeve help me keep my shape? Will the sleeve be better for me because I have NO Health issues besides being overweight? Will I get under 200 lbs with the sleeve? That's based on my current weight. Or have you sleevers been unsatisfied with your results and got a revision? Did you get a revision because of easy weight gain? Not enough weight loss ? I really would like to know. I'm getting closer to surgery and need to get serious here.

  4. Hey guys good afternoon. I was told to get the ball rolling with the diet and exercise before surgery. I will be honest, I tried and I failed. I joined the gym and have not been once. I do drink lots of Water though. However before I see the nutritionist how important is it to take in Protein and Vitamins before my surgery? I will most likely have my surgery in Dec or early Jan because I'm in school and want to finish that first. My nutritionist visit is Oct 4 2016. So Should I get the ball rolling now honestly or do I have a little time to play? I want some serious answers No Play here lol.

  5. I am going with Dr Singh at St Agnes. I originally was going with John Hopkins Bayview. Boy did that go wrong. I was suppose to see doctor Kimberly Steele and she was Not there so they had me see her nurse practitioner. Well she was not a lot of help. So I did all of my requirements and tried to see if I could finally see my surgeon. To find out she was on leave and they were not sure if she was coming back. Look at God won't he do it. It was nothing but a blessing that I went through all of that to be right where I belong in the hands of the surgeon who preformed on my sister 2 years ago. I also have to see things on my own first before I make a decision . Dr Singh is a very pleasant man. I trust him with my body. Good luck to those still waiting on surgery. Mines will not be until the end of the year.

  6. I have been reading a lot of these post about paying out of pocket or co pays. Why is anyone paying out of pocket of the insurance covers the cost. I would go nuts if I had to pay anything additional to what my co pays have been with all these requirements. Does anyone have BC/BS PPO and live in Maryland ? I would love to know if you had to pay anything extra. I'm all types of confused. Please help me understand.

  7. So I was talking to someone today about the Gastric Bypass surgery and she had it about 8 years ago. She just kept telling me well you know your going to have loose skin. A lot of it. I'm just telling you because a lot of pool don't think they will. But you will have a lot of loose skin. Ok lady thank you I heard you the 14 th time. I know I will have loose skin but I would rather have loose skin then not be able to fit in a seat comfortable , or go to movies with out having to have a seat in between my spouse and I so I have room. I can't wait to get on a plane or hell even plan a trip and not care about getting on the plane because of how tiny the seats are. Trust me I love how beautiful I am . I know I'm a really pretty woman but this weight has to go. Loose skin or not. post-299665-14740825314482_thumb.jpg

  8. The time is surely approaching to my surgery. I have been wanting this surgery since 2008. However at that time I quit my job where I had good insurance. So once I got better insurance I went for it again. This is now so exciting. I have never been a small size girl or woman. I've always been heavy. Has anyone every had the feeling of what will I look like now since Ive always been big question?!?? I wonder a lot. I look at other peoples success and my mom and my sisters success. I just know I want to be happy and healthy and still sexy .

So with that being said I have only one more requirement left and that's to see the Nutritionist on Oct 4th oh and they just threw in that BC/BS is a 7 month requirement visit with weight management so I have to see my doctor on Sept 26 for my final monthly report. They said after that they will submit everything and I will know within a week about the approval and the surgery date.
