  2. 3months...1/4 cup to 1/2cup, up to 800cal 6months...1/2cup to 3/4 cup, up to1000 cal 12months..3/4cup to 1cup, up to 1200 cal That's what my dr says I should focus on. The 1200cal is what I should stay with to maintain. But everyone's drs seem to differ Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

  8. I cried and cried before surgery. I was so emotional. I had used food as a coping skill since I was a kid. Now that was changing, I was scared. But once I calmed down. I knew this was the right choice. I still struggle some days, but I am following the plan. I do have a counselor...she helps keep me in check and we are working on my other coping skills. It's good to have support through this journey we're on. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  9. That's what I'm doing, but still not able to make my system release. Very frustrating. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  10. Lol...you are SO right. I will remember that when I am buckling my seatbelt on a plane without an extension. I'll keep making noises happily!! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

  13. I've had two stalls...one at 3wks and now one at 8wks. Frustrating, but it ends. My body kept changing though, I have ankles now...it's all part of the ride. Just keep doing what you're doing, don't give up....you are doing everything right. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  14. All depends on surgeon...I had the sleeve and I had a catheter for the surgery till the next am. It wasn't a big deal...I was so groggy from the anaesthetic, I barely noticed. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  15. Does our stomachs ever stop making the crazy ass noises? Whenever I eat or drink it growls and rumbles...funky noises! People look at me funny...which is not a big deal...but I took a drink of my Protein shake in a meeting and those noises where heard by all. Most people just smiled, but does it ever stop being so loud?? Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  16. There is a little store that makes these Buffalo chicken wraps...I don't crave sweets, bread, ice cream, fried foods, chips....but that is the one thing I miss. Maybe in a while I'll get one, eat just a few ounces and give the rest to my friends. I just want a taste! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  17. My husband helped with the enemas... embarrassing yes, but at that point I didn't care who did what to me, I just wanted the pain to stop! It's horrible and I don't know what to do to fix it. I only hope it gets better as I am able to eat more normally. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  18. I've been fighting constipation since week one...I'm on week 8. Even having to resort to enemas. I am so frustrated. I drink tons of fluids...called my drs but they just tell me to use laxatives and stool softeners. Very frustrating, just I just keep taking it day by day. My dr says I should have a movement every 3 to 5 days. I keep trying!! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  19. Thanks Rosey. I am gonna "just keep swimming"....I feel better knowing I am on the right track Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  20. Thanks. Everything you wrote makes sense. I guess the change of being off my very strict diet is scary. Now time to face the real world. Thank you for the encouragement. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  21. So ok. Surgeon's diet ends after the 8th week. Now I face the real world. My calories go from 400-600 to 600-800. Will this 200 extra calories effect my weight loss...I'm exercising as much as I can...trying to work to get up to more, but will it no longer be enough? Is eating more calories good for me? I know it will make it easier to get more Protein in, especially real food Proteins. Am I just worrying too much? ....too emotional? Sigh. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  22. My hubby does the same thing. Men just lose faster than women. I get very frustrated. But I just plod along...we don't talk much about exactly how much we've lost...just focus on body changes and loosing sizes in our clothes. Don't feel bad, it's biological chemistry. Just focus on you. You also may just be in a stall...it will get better. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  23. I am scared I won't be able to do this long term. I'm almost done with my 8 wks post op diet. Now it will be in my hands, my choices. That scares me more than the surgery did. I am doing what needs to be done, I hope I create the habits I need to succeed. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
  24. I take those little snack baggies and separate the jerky into 2 or 3 ounce Snacks, which I take with me for just in case. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
