  1. Too many parties, too many Cookies, too many pies, too many holidays I'm up 11 pounds and not happy.

And I had part of my fill taken out 3 weeks ago. I was having reflex at night. Now I want at least part of it back.

Its hard getting back to not eating the junk but I am working on it.

Oh, how I understand. I also am up about 10# hate myaself for it, but working realy hard to get back on track..

No reflux and wondering if I may need a slight fill...sometimes I can eat almost anything and other times I can feel the restriction

Also, just had some revision surgery on my recent thigh lift, so gettig around and/or exercising is a bit limited.

  2. Butternut Squash

Cut in half - scoop out the seeds - put in glass container add some Water - cover w/plastic wrap - cook in microwave for 20 (depending on size) - remove - scoop out squash into a bowel - spray with I can't beleive it's not butter - wala side dish :0) - Family tradtional side for me :0)

perfect timning. i bought a butterniut squash the other day and was not sure how i was going to fix it...

  3. I have dated a few men since LB surgery. A few know of the surgery. In fact one giy actually went through my recovery with me.

Now I have met a great guy. I said nothing about my surgery. He knew I had lost weight, it was a topic of conversaqtion, because of my limited eating choices. When I ad my TT he was there with me. I finally told him of the LB after the TT.. he felt the port under my skin and paniced it was something serious. Now we have discussions on how I chose the procedure, why and how I live with it day to day. I felt no reason to mention it until we got to a point that it was a natural part of a conversation.

Whether I should have mentioned it earlier is not to know, but all is well now and he realizes I may not eat the usual meal, but it is what I need to do. If we go out to eat, I will have Soup and an appetizer..no questions asked.

  4. UGH!! The Halloween candy has emerged. Always around at work, right there to grab a piece ot two when you walk by...HELP, SELF-CONTROL...I need it bad. Go see surgeon on Friday, may need a tiny little fill. will have to discuss it with her.

Just got back from a great mioni-vacation. 2 days of wine tasting, car travel and relaxing..couldn't have been a better way to spend 4 days with that someone special...

  5. My PS was just over 5 weeks ago, and I am finally feeling back to normal. I am still a bit sore, but no where near where I was. I had a post op appointment last week and was cleared to return to cardio. We spoke about doing a thigh lift in February, along with any touch ups he deems appropriate. Lynn- I know you had both a TT and thigh work done. Were the thighs anywhere near as big of a deal as the tummy? I know it's far away, but I hate to think of going through it all again.

    Thanks,

    Erika

I had TT and thigh lift done at the same time. Legs do need revision. Swelling was unbearable for the thighs and the proper contour was not obtained. Finally 8 weeks post-op most swelling is gone. Now revision for thighs is scheduled for 11/24. May need a bit of Lipo for the upper abdomen, but will see about that later. I am very happy with the results.

  6. Not sure if I'll need a fill when I see the DR on the 16th. but seem to be able to eat too much at a sitting at times and then other times only 1/4-1/2 cup. Maybe just a small amount, but don't want to be too tight.

Since my TT I feel more restriction most of the time, but have those days I could eat non stop... still trying to adjust to everything. happy with my weight loss and comfortable in my body. and have so enjoyed shopping for new clothes for the cooler weather.

Enjoy the great outdoors. I love Fall the crisp air and the colors.

  7. Lynn how come you need the revision? I paid extra money to have the top part of my belly flat and its far from being flat. He says he will do it but says I need to wait till the bottem part loosens up some.

The top of my thighs are out of proportion.. because of all the swelling from the TT the D could not get the desired results. so back to cutting.

I also have a bit of "bulge" in the upper part of my stomach. I have to address that with the DR. The lower belly is extrememly tight, which is good.

but the upper part needs a bit of adjustment, if it can be done.. I find my port is much more noticeable now too..

  8. God Help Me!!!

If you really need the post surgery gas to release :huh2:

Just send the family away...open the window...lay on your side (the one without the port)....move one leg up to chest and press your butt

    :eek::smile2: It works :(:laugh:

    :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t: embarassing but works:w00t::huh2::w00t:

PS- I deny every writing this post :smile2::ohmy::eek::w00t::eek:

    Blame it on menapause

you made me laugh, but a heating pad works great to alleviate the discomfort of the shoulder gas pain. at least it did for me..

  9. Special I bet with you eating more protien and eating healthier you will lose weight faster now, even if you do eat more calories.

I have been staying with in 5 pounds of my goal weight. Still waiting to see when he wants to do a revision of my Tummy Tuck. I might not have time till the beginning of summer.

I have the revision on my thighs set for 11/24. I'll have to be back at work on 11/27, so a few days to recoup

  10. I'm still here, just about 2 weeks after ps and just now starting to feel human again. It really took a lot out of me, and I am far from 100%, but I am up and moving. The doctor says I still have swelling and will for several months. He is very proud of himself and wants to eventually use me on his website in his before/after section. I am very happy with the results so far. I just hate the ugly scars. Anyone know anything about any good scar therapy?

I am using a generic brand of Mederma scar cream.. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and am seeing a nice result. if you use it, make sure all incisions are healed, you can't use it on any open wounds/incisions.

I am about 7 weeks post PS. still some discomfort..and swelling, but was told that is normal.. swelling can be around for a few more months, at least.

I scheduled the revision surgery for my thighs for Nov. 24. Taking a few days off and then back to work..thank godness I have a desk job.. makes going back to work a bit easier.

    Good luck with your recovery.
