    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

6 days post op, getting liquid in is not an issue, and getting in a little more than 1/2 of the protein needed. Hoping to do better this week, am starting full liquids and the variety is there. gas-x was such a help a few times... so glad i learned about it from this site A bit sore at the incision sites and still a bit painful getting out of a chair or getting out of bed. good thing is I am out of work for the next 2 weeks. Plan on getting in alot of walking

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

seems a great time to start the thread anew. I got banded on 3/19, feeling pretty good, just a bit of incision discomfort and some gas, but overall feeling good. I just want to say that the threads have been so helpful to me and I know to others. I hope this one continues flourish. Get back to everyone later Lynn
  3. my eval was about 30 minutes, I had a paper questionaire to complete prior to the appt. All we talked about is who was our support system, did i understand the life changes involved. Nothing overly deep. As with all other aspects of pre op preparation for lapband surgery psychology eval seems to have it's differences too. All you need to do is go with the flow, it will get you through all of this. and then you will be getting banded good luck

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

All I am taking is some ID, and myself, slippers, and some lose fitting clothes to wear home. nothing tight on my belly, and NO bra!!! gonna take some of those listerine melt strips fro my throat and my mouth, hate having a nasty taste in my mouth, I have orderd several items on line and they should be here before Wednesday or when I get home, so am set for protein powder. Don;t forget to look at Walmart. they have a whey protein powder in chocolate and vanilla, 26gms of protein for an 8 oz glass or 52 gms if 16 oz. Much better mixed in skim milk than in water. Good luck to all this week

My doctor and nutritionist says: sf jello, crystal light, sf popsicles, broth I was told no red dye, so i am sticking with the lemon, orange and green jello and sf pops. I have 2 days of clear liquids before and after surgery, 3/19 Now i am trying to do 1 or 2 meals a day as liquid protein. yummy Hang in there
  19. I also like the unjury. the non-flavored is great to add to anthing you want.. I love the chocolate, Also look for healthwise online. they have great,shakes/puddingd, and fruit drinks, as well as hot chocolate and coffee drinks I ordered a bunch of sugar fre flavorings from Capella Flavor Drops - Flavor Concentrates for Coffee, Tea, Desserts, Diet & Protein Shakes without fats, calories, carbs or sweeteners a sample pack of 5 bottles, your choice came to around $34. this includes your shipping.

    getting banded on March 19th

ready for next week to get here. I am so anxious to get this surgery done. My doctor is using the Realize band. Everyone is telling me to go out and eat all my favorite foods, but i really do not want to. I am trying to adjust my life to eating in a different pattern and going to eat all my favorites before I start my liquid diet just seems to defeat that mindset. I will admit there are a few things I would truly enjoy. Right now I am hoping to stay healthy, so much sickness is going around work, I wear a surgical mask to keep away the germs!! Good luck to all of us getting banded this month

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I also like unjury. I do like the indiviudal packaging that is available, i can take it too work and add to almost anything, and having an unflavored one, means you can add it to anything. I added the unflavored to diet ocean spray cran-grape. It was ok, but looked a bit funny. For just getting water in I like crystal light or any non brand name equivilant good louck to all upcoming banders..
