  4. I was sleeved yesterday and so far so good! I'm getting my ounces in and I get to go home Christmas Eve. This is the best tummy pic I can get right now. I have a small incision under my right breast and another one you can't see in this pic. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. i think we got sleeved at the same hospital! I recognize the red lanyard Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I'm a 12/21 sleever but I'm still in the hospital. I won't go home until 12/24. I'm feeling really good but I'm also being taken care of. I have seen it smelled food since Monday night. I have done the hiccups thing a few times (ouch) I think I drank too fast. I'm thirsty but I'm sipping out of literal 1 oz plastic cups with the instructions being to take tiny sips and about 10 mins to do that. I didn't have any trouble drinking yesterday either. My ice chips went right down. Basically I'm being trained to use my sleeve as I recover. So far I'm glad I got to stay a few days and I'm happy with my decision to go for it. 7. What does your doctors eating plan say you should be doing? Mine is super specific. I know exactly what I'm supposed to have everyday until my next nutritionist appointment in 4 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I wouldn't. Even when cooked collard greens are tough to digest. I wouldn't Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. My diet says I should avoid raw veggies for at least 6 months and some find that they can't tolerate food they loved before. I don't know if I would go this route based on that and knowing that I need 80-90 grams of Protein per day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Congrats!!! Good for you not having to get a drain. This thing sucks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Is this your first online forum? I'm asking because this place is super sweet compared to the other boards I frequent/used to frequent. It's just the nature of the internet and it's actually not any worse than when I joined my first forum The Knot 12 yrs ago. If you are an online forum newbie I'll give you some advice: you don't have to respond to every post you find negative, actually it's best that you just move along because that's how entire threads go left. It's just fanning the flames...no good can come of it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Great job!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Sleeved today and I have the same feeling, it's gas. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. . Unrelated to my surgery I took Biotin, horsetail and nettle to grow my hair out several years ago and it worked wonders. I learned about it on a board like this one that was dedicated to growing hair long. I'm my experience it works quite well ( as do other products and supplements) but you have to take around double what most people take. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. My doctor told me up front that hard to digest veggies would be a no go. My plan actually says I should avoid raw veggies for at least 6 months so I don't think what you are dealing with is uncommon. What stick out to me in your post is why are you so insistent on eating those foods if you know they make you sick? There are hundreds of other options out there, try them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Really? Do you think you would have rather stayed a few nights? I didn't have a choice, my insurance doesn't approve outpatient facilities Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Congrats! I was sleeved yesterday too! I'm required to stay in the hospital for 3 full days. Today was ice chips, tomorrow blue Powerade to help check for leaks, then I think start boost shakes Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. None. I was barely at a 40 bmi Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. This is good info. I'll see if I can get a binder while I'm at the hospital or a prescription for it. It was a life saver after my c/section Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
