For the first time in over 6 years....I weigh less then 300lbs. I'm at 299 as of this morning!!! Feeling awesome. I hurt my foot last week so have to stay away from my daily walks for two weeks but very excited about my results so far and can't wait to get back out there on those refreshing walks!! The day of surgery I weighed 370 lbs. Diabetic, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, kidney not 100%, just am all around, typical obese individual with no drive, no energy, just a desire to eat, always planning my next meal. The attached picture was yesterday's walk. By no means am I ready for a marathon, and there are definately people doing better then me, but I'm not in competition with anyone. I just left the doctors office where I was taken off of ALL MY MEDICATIONS! I weigh 317 lbs as of this morning and I haven't felt this good in MA NY years! Down to 315 this crisp Monday morning. Feeling great. Don't mind me, I participated in a waste loss challenge and it ended last week but I like logging my weight every week so I may turn this thread into that. I apologize if that bothers anyone. TODAY is one month since my pre op and 2 weeks since my operation.

- 9 SUITS
- 20 SHIRTS
- 4 JACKETS, ALL FAR TO BIG
>TODAY IVE JUST WALKED 2 MILES
>TODAY MY EMOTIONALLY CHARGED 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SAID SHE WAS PROUD OF ME (AND HER HUG WENT ALL THE WAY AROUND)
There is along way to go but I am super motivated!

As a vet, I had a LOT of questions pre-op and looking back I posted some really long questions. Now that I'm over 2 years post op, I find that there is one reference I still find myself going to.
On YouTube there is an awesome show from the UK called Fat Doctor. This is REAL stuff. Shows a lot of the surgeries, lifestyle changes, etc. There used to be many more episodes but some were taken off the site. However, there are still a lot of great episodes. There are a few sleeve cases but mostly bypass. However, the struggles and the lifestyle changes are the same.
I've gained some weight in the past months and working to get it back off. Of course, I naturally went back to Fat Doctor and watch it daily for inspiration! Good luck to all the newbies here.
