As of Monday I will be seven weeks I feel a little more normal because I am able to eat however I am still trying to embrace myself for the hairloss.. I always get my protien and Vitamins however some days are harder than others. I really think the first 4 plus weeks is the emotional part of the procedure. I myself seal with anxiety and had really hard time because I couldn't eat couldn't smoke couldn't have a drink and was really left with my emotions. I would take off longer than 2 weeks it's really an adjustment notime about the pain Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App I'm limited on my benefit time at work so I was hoping to take 2 weeks off without anyone knowing I'm having surgery...HR isn't very professional nor are most of my colleagues so I'd rather be private ...at the most I could take 3 weeks but it would deplete my hours... Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App It's just a mental thing u have to remeber you will be on all liquids and people will notice you are not eatting and getting in the routine. I know people who did the two weeks I myself wasn't prepared for what I was up against Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

  11. Did u go through this? How do u feel. Are you able to eat? I'm so scared of hairloss too... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App No, I haven't but I have seen and talked to a lot of people who has gone through it. When I went to my check up at my bariatric center, I spoke to one girl who said she cried every day since her revision, poor thing . Yeah, I'm worried about hairloss too. I didn't go through it with my band because the weightloss wasn't as drastic, a normal 2-3 lbs a week or slower... So I'm a little worried this time around because our calories are sooo much lower.I have only loss 15 pounds in six weeks so my weightloss is not to drastic but they said it would happen because of the stomach hormones loss. Yea I cry alot and I don't know what to do to make it better. How far was the girl in the group post op? I don't know why this is so hard. Thanks for listening Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App No problem at all. Anytime. I didn't know about the hormones and hair, I only knew about the Vitamin deficiency and too fast weight loss by being anorexic when I was young. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App Neon anorexia?? Yea they say at 2 yrs a person with a sleeve should be able to get enough Vitamins through there food. Yea I try really hard with vitamins .. I even take extra Biotin for my hair 20,000 mcg a day plus b12 plus zinc.. zinc is a hair vitamin... but u have to be careful if u get to much u could get sick. I even bought nioxion shampoos to help with the loss. I am blonde and don't have tons of hair so who knows how much I will have.. they say it starts at 3 to 4 months. I myself am already shedding a little more than normal.. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App Neon was because my stupid autocorrect, which is never correct lol. I edited it... Hehe I'm on biotin too and you're right, too much is often not a good thing. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App I had bulimia for years.. I think I'm scared to because I want another baby and im worried how much this is all taking a toll on my body with my first son I had gestational diabetes and other things so I wanted to be healthy Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Thanks for listening Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App She was a little over a month. She said she was warned that she may feel more depressed/anxious too by her nurse, and said there are a lot of things on the net about these types of feelings so she knows they are normal but she says the crying episodes won't stop. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App Yea I completely understand with her. I wasn't even sure if anyone would respond. I appreciate that you did. 15. *hugs* Change is often scary, and since I have issues with food as well, I can understand that. For me, food has always been my comforter. I still go to online OA meetings from time to time to find emotional support since I haven't told anyone about my surgeries either. I've thought of seeing a therapist just to make sure I maintain my inner peace, but although I've been carrying the name around since surgery, I haven't called yet. Mainly cause sometimes it can be expensive, depending upon my insurance. I did watch a neat video the other day where a Dr. did a quick video on how the Sleeve is the most natural of all WLS, and it was calming. If you'd like me to post it, let me know. Either way, we're here for you too. Thank you. I havent seen any videos like that and like I said my dr made it seem like u will be normal just everything is in small portion. I have some regrets and have decided to see a therapist I am on an emotional Rollercoaster. I cry I'm frustrated and I am still trying to enjoy life. I know people say the hardest is day one through 6 months but at this point I'm not sure what to think. I am not trying to be a debbie downer or anything like that because I am usually pretty peppy and out going but lately I'm just . Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App Nah, not a debbie downer, I see a lot of people like that here and you're just going through real emotions, which is totally normal. I'm glad you're going to see a therapist. I'm still debating but I know in my younger days, it helped me learn some good coping skills. Here is the link to that video. It may be boring or you already know all this but some reason I really enjoyed it. I loved his gastric sleeve book too. I just read that recently. https://www.facebook.com/thesupportsurgeon/videos/629921133836325/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE Did u go through this? How do u feel. Are you able to eat? 17. I just feel like maybe I am.in a worse situation . I mean I deal with an anxiety disorder and with the band I wasn't worried or fearful I lived my life normally. With the sleeve I'm scared to eat normal. I have always had issues with food my whole life. I just feel like when I see people they are so happy and my Dr's made it seem like it was the best thing since apple pie. I havent had any complication (knock on wood) but it's scary to me. I feel like i cant even take my capsules medication for my anxiety because something might go wrong. I wish people would have explained the process the emotions and the aftermath. Sometimes I feel alone with all this because no one knows I had it done except a couple people. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

  20. Had my lap band done in 2010. I loved my band j lost 60 pounds and was happy with my weight. I hurt my back and couldn't work out and started gaining weight my band was no longer working for me. My Dr's recommended the sleeve because I was also going to take 3 pins in my SI joint and they didn't want me to gain more weight. So i decided to do. I am 6 weeks post op now and I still ask myself wth was I thinking. I have really bad anxiety and have decided to see a therapist. I am doing fine as far as protien Vitamins ect. It's more of a mental change. It didn't bother me that I had my band in my body. I feel more self conscious now and with thin gs like possible hair loss ect it makes me uneasy. I feel that my dr and NUTRITIONIST down play it a little saying that as long as I get me protien and vitamins I will be okay. I worry every ache and pain if something maybe wrong. I think when I removed my band I felt that I was a kind of loosing more. My dr did it in a 3 month period. I only need to lose the 50 lbs I gained and I have only lost 15 so far .. the slower the better for me. As of right now I could totally use some support and words of advice and encouragement. I just want to feel normal.again like I did with my band. My dr says that they are doing so many conversion that the band is not really an option.
