When did u have the sleeve done and how are u liking it? Have u lost weight with it? That's what I'm going to end up getting now that I have read up on the lap band and realized the sleeve could help with my gastroparesis.I had pretty bad gastric reflux before sleeve surgery. During my procedure my doctor noticed I had a hiatal hernia and was able to fix it while he was in there. Reflux is not a problem anymore :-)

I am thinking of getting lap band but I have Gastroparesis and severe acid reflux. I'm just trying to find someone who has had gastroparesis prior to getting lap band and if it has made it worse or better? I have read where a lot of people have developed gastroparesis after getting the band and surely don't want to make it any worse and pay all that money and have to get it removed. Please help anybody that has been there already. Thank you in advance.

I was diagnosed with gastroparesis a few years ago and am considering getting the lap band and I'm wanting to talk to someone else that had gastroparesis before getting the lap band and find out if they had any problems or complications because of it. And I also have severe acid reflux. I feel like it would help my gastroparesis but have been reading some things that are making me think otherwise now. I'm just so tired of being fat but don't want to spend the money and end up having to get it removed if it makes it worse.

Humana Medicaid in Florida approvals?

I am curious if anyone has been approved in Florida with Humana Medicaid having gastroparesis? I have heard that's what the gastric sleeve was first used for. My BMI is 36.5 and I have severe gastroparesis and really bad acid reflux.
