  1. I'm September 8th Just got my date today! I'm SUPER excited but I'm also nervous... now that I have my date I don't know how to consume my time lol I was so caught up with getting all of this done now that I have a date I don't know what to do.
  2. Wow! That is amazing! You look great
  3. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not I'm sorry. So my insurance approved my surgery last Thursday, the 18th. This is after I had to call my surgeons office because my insurance said they hadn't received anything from them, I had my consultation on the 11th. Once I called the lady said she didn't know what happened she had sent it but they definitely had it now. Ok fine... it worked out got approved one day after she sent it in. YAY! So I didn't expect to hear anything from them Friday, that would be a little soon, but on Monday after I had received my letter from my insurance saying it was approved I called and they said they hadn't received anything yet, asked me to scan my copy in and send it to them... ok fine, I will do that. I asked the girl how long it would be before hearing from scheduling, she said it could be up to five days.... WHAT? Arg that's annoying. I have Tricare... my surgery will be 100% paid besides maybe a copay to the hospital of only a few dollars. So I still haven't heard from them and I find myself really annoyed. So I thought I would see if I am being overly sensitive or if it took anyone else office this long and so many "we didn't get it" laters. I just want the date... my husband is active duty its hard for him to just get time off so the sooner we know the date the better. I'm frustrated but I'm not sure if I am being ridiculous or its justified.
  4. @@kathileelyo I was approved last Thursday but am still waiting to get my surgery date. My doctors office is being ungodly slow and its really annoying.
  5. Hi Novamom! Welcome! I just got my approval today and I have Tricare Prime Remote West. I went to my PCM and talked to him about my weight and then because he agreed I was a good candidate and with everything I had tried it was my best option he then put in a referral with Tricare for a consultation. If the doctor you go to is like mine you have to go to a seminar and then meet all of your requirements before they will even do your consult.
  6. I have Tricare Prime West. Their requirements don't mention anything about losing a certain amount only that you have to have it documented for 3 to 6 months that you have tried and failed to lose weight. I lost only a lbs the entire 4 months I did it. I tried everything and the weight just doesn't come off, which is why I started this process in the first place. My paperwork is currently with the insurance right now waiting approval. I will let you know how it goes. Good luck!
  7. I didn't have to do a psych eval, at least not yet. My stuff is still processing with Tricare so we will see what they come back with.
  8. I have Tricare Prime Remote West region. My paperwork was just sent in today, talk about being on pins and needles. I'm scared to death they will deny it but I have done everything on their requirements. 4 month supervised diet, BMI of 43 with PCOS, GERD and pretty sure I have sleep apnea but my PCP didn't want to do a night test since I was pursuing this. I don't have much experience with Tricare I admit. I've been a spouse for over 2 years but I don't go to the doctor often. Good luck on your journey!
