  1. 7 Months out SW: 268.8 CW: 167.6 101 lbs down
  2. I just hit 4 months out as of yesterday and I am 81 lbs down. So I'm averaging 20.25 a month, but I know that isn't right lol. I lost about 25 just the first month, it slowed down a little after that but has remained steady. As long as its going down I don't care how fast . I work out every day though. Everyone is different, but I'm extremely happy with my results.
  3. Hi everyone! I am just curious about something, I am 5 weeks out as of today and have lost 40 lbs (10 from pre-op diet) why I am super super excited for this amount, I have noticed that my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit since the first week. The first week post op I lost 14 lbs... after that I am ranging between 4-5 lbs a week. Which is still AMAZING! More than I was losing before surgery, when I was trying really hard. Just was curious how everyone elses went. Was it similar to mine?

Running two miles in the amount of time it took me to run 1.5 in July I am 5 weeks out as of today and 40 lbs down.

    Itchy at incissions

I was told not to take mine off until they fell off, but I was really itchy like you are and ended up having an allergic reaction to the strips. I got all red and had blisters in some places from them. Keep a close eye on them and if it continues or you notice a blister call your doctor and ask them what you should do.
  6. I would most definitely have her check for PCOS. I was tiny until I hit puberty and then my weight problems started. My Mom took me to the doctor out of concern but they just said it was a phase and to watch what they gave me. My Dad is a vegetarian so we never had anything other than chicken and turkey burger in our house and only because my Mom refused to be a vegetarian lol. I was diagnosed with PCOS until I was 28 and my husband and I had started trying for a baby.
  7. I will be three weeks out on Thursday. I have lost 20 since surgery, 30 if you include pre op diet

    Tricare Prime

I feel great! I am two weeks post op and I have lost 18 lbs, 28 if you include the weight I lost on the pre op diet. So far the journey has been easy for me, the hardest part is just getting out of the mental mindset to be snacking why watching TV and not being able to eat at restaurants like what my husband and friends do.

    Tricare Prime

I have PCOS and slight sleep Apnea but I don't use any machines for it. That was it.
  10. Hi everyone, Just giving a small update. I had surgery on 9/8 and as of today I am 2 weeks post op and 18 lbs down (28 if you count pre surgery diet)! My goal was just to reach 20 in a month and I almost reached that in two weeks! Though only 5 pounds of that 18 was this past week, I had lost 13 in the first week. I'm guessing that was mostly just water weight and being pumped with who knows what liquid at the hospital. I am drinking more than my 64 oz of water every day, starting working out this past Monday. Haven't had any aversions to foods so far. Here is to hoping my weight continues to melt away <3

    Tricare Prime

Hi Beth, I have Tricare Prime and I just had surgery on 9/8! I did four months of a supervised diet and I was approved within a day of my surgeons office submitting the paperwork. I've had issues with Tricare in the past, but I was very impressed with their speediness.

    Starting to worry

I've wondered the same thing, not because of food but mostly because I have NO issues drinking over the 64 oz of water. I started drinking that on day 4 post op. I usually get to about 84 now.
  13. Hi everyone, I had my surgery on September 8th, so I am 3 days post op. I have very little pain, but the nausea is horrible. Is this normal? I also have been burping a lot, I can feel my stomach gurgle whenever I drink water. I had a bad case of buyers remorse yesterday after they gave me beef broth for lunch and it was so horrible, even the thought of it right now makes me want to vomit. Thanks for any help.

3 days post op and curious

It also feels like stuff is getting stuck in between my breasts if that makes since? Doesn't hurt but it really uncomfortable and makes it hard to consume anything. Anyone else have that?

    Scared

Hi everyone, I have surgery on Thursday (September 8th) and for probably the past week I've been feeling scared, not of the life change and diet afterwards but of dying on the table, during surgery. I'm 29 and fairly healthy considering, but all I see is my husband and family and friends crying because I passed during surgery. Is this normal or am I being silly? My husband is incredibly supportive and just keeps reminding me why I'm doing this in the first place, and I know its the right things for me, just can't get past this fear. Thank you all btw, reading posts here has helped me a lot during this journey.

  23. I've always wondered this as well. My surgeon only requires an under 1000 calorie diet for 10 days if your BMI is under 49 if your BMI is over 49 you do it for 14 days. Mine was under so I had to do 10 days. My surgery is on the 8th and I've lost 7 lbs on the pre op diet. Tomorrow I can eat a normal Breakfast then a light lunch but then I have to do the bowel cleanse at 3 and can't eat anything after that. It's all to shrink the amount of fat around the liver.

Thank you @@KristenLe I'm an over thinker, always have been so I just have to try and push the thoughts back.

    Reality is setting in...

I'm in the same boat... my surgery is exactly a week from today on the 8th and I had a dream last night that really scared me... brought my anxiety up really bad. My husband just reminded me that its what I have been talking about non stop since March and that yeah its scary, any surgery is, but the benefits out weight those fears. He is right but I still find myself freaking out about complications and even death because I'm an over thinker like that lol. I'm sure once I'm out of surgery and everything I will laugh at how silly I'm being but until then I will probably continue freaking out because that's how I am.
