I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not I'm sorry. So my insurance approved my surgery last Thursday, the 18th. This is after I had to call my surgeons office because my insurance said they hadn't received anything from them, I had my consultation on the 11th. Once I called the lady said she didn't know what happened she had sent it but they definitely had it now. Ok fine... it worked out got approved one day after she sent it in. YAY! So I didn't expect to hear anything from them Friday, that would be a little soon, but on Monday after I had received my letter from my insurance saying it was approved I called and they said they hadn't received anything yet, asked me to scan my copy in and send it to them... ok fine, I will do that. I asked the girl how long it would be before hearing from scheduling, she said it could be up to five days.... WHAT? Arg that's annoying. I have Tricare... my surgery will be 100% paid besides maybe a copay to the hospital of only a few dollars. So I still haven't heard from them and I find myself really annoyed. So I thought I would see if I am being overly sensitive or if it took anyone else office this long and so many "we didn't get it" laters. I just want the date... my husband is active duty its hard for him to just get time off so the sooner we know the date the better. I'm frustrated but I'm not sure if I am being ridiculous or its justified.
