  2. Sounds like you are happy with the results. Did you have alot to lose to begin with? I probably need to lose at least 120lbs. My main "goal" is to be pain free! I will deal with the cosmetic issues as they come, but if I am not always tired and in pain I think I could get through anything!!Congratulations on your achievements so far!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  4. You're very right! I just want to start living a normal, healthy life!!!! My date is June 14. I decided to wait until then because I have the Summer off and i wanted a lot of time to "learn" how to learn how to eat again. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  7. Thank you so much. I have read so many posts on here, but it seems that MOST are younger. I am not as worried about hair loss as I am about skin and complications. I have NEVER been comfortable wearing a tank top/sleeveless shirt, and it is one of my hopes that I will be able to someday, I know that sounds dumb, I guess it's just that I see everyone else wearing them and I want to be "normal"Good luck on your journey!!!! 12. I'm having surgery in June, I have only told my immediate family and best friends. I plan on just telling people I've completely changed my eating habits and am now exercising. I think that is all they need to know, and it's the truth! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  16. Hi. I am not having my surgery (sleeve) until June, but someone told me that I should start taking Biotin now to prevent hair loss. Does anyone know if it really will prevent/reduce hair loss if I start taking it 4.5 months early? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  19. It's almost like our house! Here it's me, mom, sister, brother, husband, and my 2 kids! My family wasn't so supportive, though. They're getting over it a bit now, though they're still snarky when I say I can't eat something, like it's a personal affront. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App I think my family is genuinely afraid for me. I had lost 108lbs on my own a few years ago, and they got to see a MUCH healthier happier me. I have been "morbidly obese" most of my life. During the time I was still losing, I switched jobs, my sister was diagnosed with cancer, I was laid off and my sister passed away. I gained most of the weight back, and so I am back to the un-healthy sad version of "me". They want the other person back, and so do I, so they are willing to do whatever is necessary to help me find her again! Good luck, I can be a support person for you if you need someone. I'm not having surgery until June, so I don't know how much help I can be. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  20. Thank you so much! Yes I do have excess skin due to losing so many pounds in such short time. I've attached a picture of what my skin looks like. ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1485033469.061553.jpg Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App You do a great job hiding it! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  21. You look great!!! Do you have any issues with extra skin? I'm hoping to lose 130lbs, and I'm 45, so I know I probably will. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  22. I'm really lucky. My family has been so supportive (I hope they are that way after my surgery when I get cranky lol) I live with my mom, sister, bro in law and 2 nieces. My mom n sister want to eat healthier and exercise with me, and my nieces want to be my "trainers" I am having surgery in June, I couldn't do it without them. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  23. He said he doesn't believe in it. He said there is no evidence that it makes a difference. The only "diet" is the week before surgery, all Protein and veggies. No carbs or sugar Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  24. He wants the scan because I have had hbp since I was in elementary school. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  25. I had my first appt today with the surgeon and nutritionist. I think one of the things that has veen bothering me, is that right now, I eat until I am full...HOW am I going to know when to stop after surgery???? They both said that you need to stop when you are comfortably satisfied. I don't know what that feels like. I don't want to mess up. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
