    Sleeve "reset"?

Everybody is different, I felt sick all the time that early on. My suggestion would be to sip at your Water, if it stays down then try your Protein shake. Maybe its too early for sugar free pudding. Stick to your liquid diet for a few more days. I will stay following so we can see the results and help others who may have the same issue. Im 6 weeks out and tried to eat a piece of cookie dough.. the break and bake kind. Ugh my stomach is having a fit, gurgling and churning! I will not do that again for a long long time.

    Messed up

@@shani1970 - I did the same thing but mine was the toppings off of a piece of pizza. It was awful! I thought I was going to die. If you look back about 5 weeks ago I posted about it! I got a lot of support from the family on here, don't beat yourself up, push forward, and remember that pain when you think of making that mistake again! You got this!
  3. Where can you find that? Walmart doesn't carry it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App I ordered on Amazon, I got GENEPRO.

  5. I believe that caffeine is a diuretic because since surgery (5 weeks ago) I only pee 2-3 times a day. I used to pee 8-10 times per day with a bladder the size of a pea. (no pun intended) I have started back on my coffee this week and am peeing a lot more. The proof is in the urine! ha I love my coffee and need it! I am doing half caf

    Two days post op

I don't think counting calories is important in your first few weeks. Getting all the liquids that you can is the main focus and your Protein. I am 5 weeks out and doing about 800 calories max per day. I just cant eat much but when I do I make sure its loaded with protein. I'm having a hard time drinking my Water, not sure why.. I used to drink about 100oz, of water per day before surgery. The "gas pains" that you hear everyone talking about is the CO2 they pump in your abdomen during laparoscopic Surgery, CO2 gas becomes trapped against the diaphragm causing pain. If you get up and walk early on you can dissipate it from your body. I had this in my shoulders and upper back. It was the most painful part for me.
  7. yes, the Jello turns to liquid as you eat it.
  8. Good Morning @@yasminesyz You should not have the apple juice as its loaded with sugar. They told me to stay away from dairy for at least two weeks after surgery and then slowly add it back to see how I tolerate it. The main thing you want to consume right now is your Protein drinks and your Water. You can also have sugar free Popsicle's, broth, and sugar free Jello. I was told to be on liquid for 7 days after surgery. Then added in low sugar greek yogurt... I am 5 weeks now and am still on soft foods. Hope this helps

    Vitamin Patches?

@@shawnv1 I ordered the Patches thinking they were a good idea. My surgeon told me that they did not absorb very well if at all and to send them back. I was disappointed but returned them. Hope that helps.

    3wks out tacos?

I too eat full fat everything, it's more natural not as many carbs either. They add "flavorings" in the form of carbs to "low fat" or "light" to give it taste. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App
  13. Hello everyone... My question is geared towards the sleevers who are 60+ pounds down. Does sexual intercourse feel different with your new body? I remember the most mind blowing sex before I had kids and gained all this weight! Now was that because I was "average framed", ....... because I was young, ............or just pre-mommy perks? Yes it's probably a frowned upon question I'm sure.... but how do ya know unless you ask!! Thanks Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App

    Anybody struggling?

You need to stop eating the crisps and cup o soups first. Lots and lots of protein!! NO CARBS for two weeks, get your body back into fat burning mode!! Eat things like greek yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, fish, eggs. If you like the cup of Soup make some boullion and drink that. Have a high Protein shake in place of a meal. You just fell aside the road for a bit - now jump back on the road and take off running. :-)

    Any smokers out there?

The surgery team that I dealt with would not even give you the surgery if you had nicotine in your system. I was tested a week pre-op and the morning of surgery. They said if nicotine was found they would NOT do the surgery. there would be nothing worse then getting in your gown and then them coming back and saying you have nicotine in your system, surgery's cancelled!

    Need advice... Surgery 9/19

I am almost 4 weeks post op and its hard to pass on the foods you love but I will say with this tool of WLS, I can't eat bad....it kills me....I feel like I'm going to die if I eat wrong! Which is good, the pleasure is NOT worth the pain! Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App
  20. I'm stumped by that! I don't understand why you cant have Protein drinks! They are what was pushed the MOST for me and everyone I know who has had this surgery. I hope you get it soon. I ordered "Genepro" from amazon. It is medical grade protein and has 30 grams per small scoop, not sure if you actually absorb the entire 30 but as with any supplement, you don't absorb all of it. I put it in my Water as its flavorless. It does thicken the water slightly but I don't mind it.
  21. @LxA We are on the same path. I had surgery on 8/8/16 and have lost 17 pounds to date. I haven't lost anything in the last week. I just get on here are read others stories and I feel better about it. Its normal. Its not like were eating wrong because we really CANT eat right now... at least not whole food. Good Luck!! Cant wait to see your pics!
