  1. I'm 6 months out and have gone from 219 to my goal weight of 145. I am very comfortable drinking a premier protein shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch plus light & fit Greek yogurt with fresh fruit and a snack of almonds if hungry. For dinner I am a little less strict. I eat some type of meat and vegetables. I don't even weigh the food either. I just eat until I'm full and stop. I make sure I drink 64+ oz of water a day. I make sure I drink 2 glasses of water every morning before I leave for work to make sure I get it in. One glass with my medications one pill at a time. And one glass with my Bariatric vitamins. I haven't lost hair I think because I get enough protein and water. I plan on sticking with these good choices indefinitely. I do not feel hungry or deprived. I feel so lucky and happy. I am so glad I had GS surgery. It was the best thing I ever did. I feel so much better physically and emotionally. And you look younger and am off blood pressure and cholesterol medicine and the cpap machine. I have days where I don't lose any weight or I'll go up a pound. I stick with it and a few days later I go down even more. I have noticed that often times my weight goes down when I eat a little more rather than a little less as long as it's all of the same healthy foods I normally eat. Stick with it. You will get through stalls and lose more quicker after the stall. Every couple of weeks I stall or lose less and then all of a sudden the scale drops. Take care and good luck!! You'll be fine. 2. OMG! I am soooo happy I had the surgery. My highest weight was 220. I lost 15 lbs on the pre-op diet. I came home from the hospital at 208 with the gas and liquids that were pumped into me. I had surgery 9/6 and today 10/10/16 I weigh 189. I am so happy to be in the 180s! I am 5'2". I never had gas pain. I never had any pain after surgery. I started walking two days after surgery. I've lost 30 lbs in 6 woks including the pre-op and 23 inches. I am down from at 18-20 dress to a 14. Yesterday was the first time in years that I was able to shop in a regular size clothing store. I am so happy and proud. It has been so easy. I couldn't have done this by myself. I am not hungry very often and when I am I want to eat what I should. I never think about food like I used to. I feel like my life has already changed for the better. I am off high bp and cholesterol medicine. My mobility is better. I feel better physically and mentally. The weight has come off easier than I expected. Of course I exercise and eat exactly the way I should but I actually want to. I have not regretted having wls for one minute. I think you have to be mentally prepared before surgery for the work ahead. Good luck to you!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I had sleeve surgery on 9/6/16. I came home the next day and have been doing great. I never really had any pain, just some gas the first couple of days. But that has subsided. Now it's easier to drink more too. I've been walking 3-4 miles a day since 3 days after surgery. I've been dropping between 1-3 pounds a day. I must confess I'm sick of the shakes and have started eating real food. I'm probably not supposed. I'm eating very small portions (1/4cup) of chicken or turkey meat and the same size of cooked carrots or cauliflower. I chew really well and mush it all up and have not had any pain, nausea or ill repercussions. I've had a little broth too and 1 SF Popsicle. Things are going great. September Surgery

I just had surgery yesterday on Sept6th. It went really well. I'm already home next afternoon. I'm not in pain except from the gas. Walking does help with that. I haven't been able to get all my fluids in. I started at 220 and lost 15 lbs on the 2 week shake diet. Right now I'm all bloated from the surgery. But super excited about starting this journey!! September 2016 Sleevers!

We have the same date! Let's keep in touch. I'm in Tucson AZ. Where are you at? I'm hoping to go from 217 to 140 lbs. how about you? I know a key will be exercising. I'm gonna start walking as soon as I can after surgery. I wasn't gonna tell my boss what kind of surgery I'm having. I'm hoping to just be out of work 2 weeks but we'll see how it goes. I'm not nervous. Just excited. I've been reading a lot about what to expect. Let's keep in touch and check on how we are doing after surgery and progressing with dealing with the eating lifestyle changes. Take care, Cathi
