Depression!
The holidays have always been hard for me, went through a divorce about 10 years ago during the holidays. Since then they've been pretty depressing. Can't help but bring up old memories. Now I am a supervisor in a 911 center and usually get stuck working holidays. So while my friends and family are celebrating and being thankful I get to deal with all of the domestics, suicides, car crashes, you name it I'll be dealing with it. Now add on top of that it's my first year with my sleeve and not able to join in the food. Depressing time... I guess I'll just take my meds and get back to work

I did it! Got sleeved yesterday 9/2!
Have to work all night but I woke up this morning to weigh. Down 100 lbs!! Eight years ago my wife and I were in Jamaica for our honeymoon. I had a button up shirt on over my t-shirt and couldn't button it up. The one button I did was holding on for dear life. I put that shirt on the other day and had room left in it.

Help in a Stall
Excellent advise right there. Are you tracking your food? Usually when stalls happen people are either not sticking to their plan or their body is taking time to adjust. So I would suggest reevaluating your food choices, track everything that goes in your mouth (including the carb count), and be honest with yourself about your exercise. If all of that is in line then it's just your body adjusting from rapid weight loss. Also my nutritionist and surgeon frown on not getting in 4 to 5 small meals a day. Your body needs fuel.

Goal weight?
I haven't set a goal weight yet, my surgery was on September 2nd and I am approaching 100 pounds lost since the beginning of my 2 week preop diet. I'm starting to put more thought into it.

1wk post op sleeve surgery
Mashed potatoes were easy for me to stomach on the puréed stage. However I got the little cups of instant mashed potatoes and added unflavored protein from GNC to it. So I was getting a healthy dose of protein with them. Or I would purée manwich meat and put that on top. That along with re fried beans and premier protein shakes got me through the puréed stage.

New obsession but not good!
Mine is odd, I'm obsessed with going to the gym. If I miss a day I just feel off all day long.

New Here....
I think we've all been there. I would search for your local center of excellence or check your insurances web site for what their requirements are for the surgeon. Then call their office to get into a seminar. They will give you more information there on the process. Not making your meals separate from your families isn't necessarily bad. Especially if you are the one cooking, that just means everyone will be eating healthy. You'll just be eating far less than everyone else. I crack jokes all the time because I have a Chihuahua that is awful about begging (my fault) and his meals are actually larger than mine.

Satisfying drinks?
I second the Atkins Lift drinks, they are pretty tasty! I do try to stick to Isopure though. The grape and blueberry aren't too bad to me.

To all the Post Op People
Nope! But my dog does miss having the shelf of a stomach to lay on. Although I think he's content without it.

I did it! Got sleeved yesterday 9/2!
As for my bi-pap issue, the new mask isn't helping. I called my doctor and asked if they would approve switching my machine into auto bi-pap mode where it adjusts itself to be proper pressure. They said sure and mailed out a memory card with my new prescription. After downloading the data from a couple nights sleep I'm seeing that my pressure was way too high now. It was at a max of 17, now on auto the highest it's gotten in the last few nights is 9. My wife says I've been much quieter in my sleep and no snoring events. Yay!!! Success!!! I noticed today that I have felt much more rested. So I'm going to have them switch my mask back to the one I'm comfortable with and have been using for the last couple years.

Right now they want me to get up to around 800. I struggle with that, most days only getting in the 600s. The nutritionist added some things that are low in volume but higher in calories and added some good stuff too. Like mixed nuts. I've been stomaching them well and my weight loss has continued without missing a beat. I'm not overdoing them in the least. Just as a snack if I need the boost in my numbers. I was up and walking the same day as my surgery. At my two week appointment he stepped up the amount of walking I was doing. Then at about the same time as I went to solid foods I got the okay to start an exercise regimen. I've been going to the gym lately three to five times a week and I've been getting in some form of excessive every day. Today I skipped the gym and did a 15.8 mile bike ride with my brother and his wife.

Excellent way to describe it!
