  4. I have definitely had quite a few sugarfree popcicles. Great suggestion about the straws! Looking forward to my post op check up tomorrow. :-) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  5. Today I am 4 days post-op and still in disbelief this is my life. I am so thirsty, and I can't just go to the sink and drink a large glass of ice Water. That is not my life. I can't eat a piece of that pie leftover from Thanksgiving. That is not my life. I am drinking coffee with sugarfree creamer (pumpkin pie) and taking 8 pills - we'll call that breakfast. Not really. Seriously I have to eat some food or these pills are going to hurt by the time I'm done...and they take well over an hour to take spaced apart enough. I made potato Soup and blended it to make it a cream soup. I'm going to eat that or tomato soup (til I get cleared on Tuesday). I'm not in much pain. Like a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Mostly it's back and shoulder pain, and I wonder if that's because of laying on my back too much. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  6. Yea, I only ate a few bites. I'm home now and my wonderful family offered for me to sit at the table with them ...instead I laid on the sofa and sipped broth. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  7. Good morning. I'm off the IV, pain pump...well everything. I'm having Breakfast - sugar free Jello, sugar free Apple juice and cream of wheat. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  8. Bypass. The warm broth feels better on my stomach than ice chips & Water. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  9. I spent the whole day nauseous. Between hitting my pain button and napping...I walked the hallway and used my incentive spirometry. I am not tolerating Water or ice. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, the nutritionist said day 2 is always better. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  13. Catheter gone. Got my first cup of fluids, I chose ice chips, my mouth is So dry. Pain pump stays all day. On an awesome side note: my doctors assistant came in and had me moved. The roommate was not Npo or post bariatric surgery. Smelling her Breakfast would've been torture. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  15. I'm laying in my hospital bed at 2am. Hooked to a pain pump (my new best friend), IV antibiotics, oxygen, leg massagers & a catheter. The abdominal pain is mostly burning, not what I expected, only a 5 out of 10. My throat hurts from the tube and I'm super thirsty, they gave me a mouth swab only. Tomorrow I have a full day planned. PT will have me walk and I need to take in 60cc per hr of fluids, per the nurse's explinations. Just thought I'd tell what I'm experiencing. 22. You look amazing! I have bypass in 6 days. I have read quite a bit about stalling after surgery...and I'm scared. Did you have this happen? How long did it last? You have results that I hope I have!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
