Sullie06 got a reaction from FluffyChix in What are you treating yourself to once you hit your goal weight???
New York is amazing. I live about 3 hours from New York City and I try and get down any chance I get because the city just feels so alive to me.

Sullie06 got a reaction from blizair09 in Married people....8 out of ten of us will get divorced within 2 years
Thankfully I have found the opposite to be true in my marriage. I think me losing weight and in a way getting my self confidence back has made our marriage stronger because I've in a way became myself again, the person I was when we first started dating way back in high school. I think it's important to realize that your spouse is going through this too and things like increase attention from the opposite sex and financial strain due to medical costs (if applicable) and increase shopping needs could put stress on a relationship. I just make sure I'm communicating well both what I need and asking what he needs in our relationship.

Sullie06 got a reaction from Gotalose in Anyone that started around 300 want to share your stats?
I'm a 34 year old female and 5'9".
Highest weight was 301, lost 30 pounds on pre-op and went into surgery at 271. I'm now 184-186 so I've lost 85-87 pounds since surgery 12/30/16. My goal is 175 lbs.

Sullie06 got a reaction from Miss Topaz in Will I ever be warm again?
This winter has been super cold here so I'm sure that's not helping but I'm literally never warm. It sucks but it's better than being 300 pounds

Sullie06 got a reaction from missmaryc in What is eating like 6 months or more after gastric sleeve?
Thank you and best of luck to you! It's certainly a journey but the best thing I have done for myself.

Sullie06 got a reaction from orionburn in Will I ever be warm again?
13 months out and I cannot get warm. I wear layers on layer when going out and as soon as I get home I'm in fuzzy socks, slippers, sweats and a hoodie and sit under a blanket.

Sullie06 got a reaction from missmaryc in What is eating like 6 months or more after gastric sleeve?
I'm a little over 13 months post op, down 117 pounds and within 10 of my goal. I eat pretty normally just much smaller portions. I can eat whatever I want but I do avoid foods high in simple carbs. I still will have a treat when I want one, though usually just a bite or two. The only thing I can no longer stomach is eggs.

Sullie06 got a reaction from pretty pegie in Did your Dr tell you No STRAWS? No SODA?
My doctor said both are fine as tolerated. I've been using a straw since about 12 weeks post op with no issues and have been able to tolerate carbonation with no issue as of about 6 months post op. I drink seltzer and will occasionally have a diet Pepsi as a treat. I'm also 10 months post op and 10ish pounds from goal.

Sullie06 got a reaction from Sosewsue61 in Side Effects of Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
The worst part for me is that I've been cold literally all the time. I have to wear layers and layers of clothing and sometimes I avoid going places if I know it's either particularly cold outside or I know the place to be cold. Otherwise I've been lucky and had very few side effects besides the 115 pound weight loss.
