When did you start feeling hunger?
Kearner replied to Sporin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 8 weeks out and I get hungry [emoji51] Not like I used to at all.... but I do get small hunger pains once in a while -
Thank you so everyone:)

I have a hard time remembering to slow down too..... but as jill_me said - getting sick after helps ! Ive thrown up on 2 different occasions because I ate to fast. Sometimes I just feel completely normal and. I start eating faster...... it's tough but not wanting to get sick is definitely a great deterrent!

Sorry for the topic! Can anyone tell me if our periods shift - or are late after surgery ? I am 4 weeks out from surgery and I actually had my period when I was in the hospital for my surgery and it was sooooo long! Now I'm just wondering if it would be regular ?

I know I've read here a million times about a 3 week stall - but I guess now that it's happening to me ...... I'm freaking out lol I'm so worried I'll be the ONE that this surgery doesn't work for !! I'm definitely reaching my Protein goals each day..... almost reaching my liquid goal and I'm really not eating very much. Maybe once a day I have yogurt or turkey slices w/ cottage cheese. Grrrrrrrrr! [emoji4] Thanks for any advice !!!

Question - can I get sick from drinking regular Vitamin Water?
Kearner replied to Kelli Passalacqua's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is a very easy mistake - some of the regular ones look just like the zeros I did the same thing but before surgery!!! -
Humility and the aftermath. I am left with shame.

I think sometimes people need to be reassured. I am so lucky to have the best best best surgeon and team. I had to work with them for one year before I even had surgery! It drove me crazy at times but in the end I'm so happy I had such a thorough team. I think sometimes when I ask questions that may have been covered by the doctor -it's because I like to hear from other people who are going through the same thing. A lot is repetitive ! I agree [emoji16] -

Anyone else have this?
Kearner replied to New Me 31317's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It happened to me once - eating bite of soft chicken. I ate it to fast and took to big of bites. I find it hard to eat slow. I've been practicing since before my surgery like they recommended but it's just tough - very busy household lol -
Thank you SO MUCH for all the responses - makes me feel less crazy [emoji12] I have been walking a ton each day (2x a day ) I'm going to add in some strength training and yoga too! Maybe be calories aren't high enough - I eat mainly protein, I still do 2 to 3 shakes a day with almond milk And I'm taking my supplements..... I guess I just have to have FAITH!!!
-
I totally understand! I have been stuck for a week now - I'm 4 weeks out today. I definitely need to stop weighing myself! I'm also due for my period so hopefully it's just that...... I keep getting scared I'm never gonna loose anymore lol

I was VERY VERY tired and weak...... unfortunately I ended up having a GI bleed in my 2nd week out from surgery. I think because of that I was my exhaustion was magnified. I'm one month out today and feel a lot better - each day my energy is markedly increased !!! Hang in there
-
I have a Fitbit and keep track of my liquids, food(not really eating much lol) and protein. I love the Fitbit I have started exercising a little more - nothing crazy. I will just stay on the path and hope for the best. It's so weird to lose so much weight right away and then - Boom, nothing
-
Thanks everyone ! I definitely think I ate to fast ! Sometimes I forget and take a bigger bite than I should.
-
I am 3weeks out and usually can eat just fine but today - I had an awful pain after having a few bites cottage cheese. I've had bad pains since down my esophagus and the left of my belly . I think I just ate to fast, maybe !?!?

My nutritionist recommended flinetones chewable lol

I'm 8 days post-op and always tired.... weak. I'm not feeling like I'm going to pass out or anything but just depleted ! After doing small things I feel drained ! My surgeon said it's normal but I'm so ready to have all the energy I hear about
-
Thank you ! Great suggestions !! I am feeling so much better now ! Energy is slowly coming back [emoji1303]

I ended up have a GI bleed - a large ulcer !! I get so sick, passed out, had a seizure and vomited a ton of blood:( I was admitted for 2 days - IV meds, blood transfusion Ect.... Lesson learned - always listen to my body!! I knew I was so tired and weak for days but didn't realize there was something wrong !!!
-
Omg. I am 8 days postop and my period is lasting so much longer than usual and way heavier. I actually got my period the night of my surgery..... lucky me hahaha
-
