  1. Hi, I'm in NSW too, sleeved 24/8/16. Definitely start logging all your food - MyFitnessPal is fantastic. If you can, get a referral to a nutritionist with WLS experience. If it turns out there's nothing wrong with your stomach, it'd be worth reviewing your diet and exercise routine. Hope you sort it out. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  3. Apart from protein powder, nutritional yeast is a great source of protein and B vitamins. Get it from health food or wholefoods stores. It comes as little yellow flakes and has a mild cheesy flavour so it's great to add to savoury soups, stews, eggs or other dishes. A nice change from the powders. 4. Done - thank you so much. See you on FB!
  5. I'm on the 24th August. Do you have a link to the FB group, thanks? It'd be great to have some buddies.
  6. August 24th! One more week before I start my two week Optifast diet. I've stocked up on the shakes and am ready to go, can't wait! I'm telling very few people, mostly because I'm quite a private person, but it'd be great to have a buddy or ten. I'm in Australia if that makes a difference.
  7. @@ami23 - good luck!
  8. Good luck! I'm having surgery on 24 August and am trying not to get too alarmed about the process but reading all the 'not so great' experiences has given me more realistic expectations about the future. There may be pain, there may not; I might be able to eat relatively normally in a few weeks, I may not. Whatever happens I'll be better prepared for it. Hope all goes smoothly for you - keep us posted. ???? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
