  1. I tried my very first decaf caramel skinny latte on ice today. It was ok but I only managed to get an 1/8 of it down. I doubt I'll be trying it again any time soon. I normally don't do starbucks but i needed something cold that wasnt Water. Where do you buy Inspire protein powder and what flavors do they make? Please and thank you Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  2. Just sharing and venting. I went to sonic to get lunch for my husband, being 104 i decided to try a childs diet cherry slush, luckily the lady informed me that the icy base is made with sugars. Of course i didnt get one but I'm still mad over the lack of information provided. I raised a T1D and we let her have the diet ones from time to time and never put 2&2 together. I really need to make sure I double check wven the diet drinks.. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  7. @8petals.. Remember you are still really swollen and your stomach can't churn food like before. I'm still mainly on ice Water but trying to force myself to take in pureed foods. Real foods pureed are to heavy so i got baby foods. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  8. I agree about the sugars, but i know there isnt any added sugars so its all from the fruits and veggies. I also mixed Protein powder in it and only ate about an oz of the 4oz container. Even at 4 weeks out I'm still only able to take in less than an 1oz or 2oz at a time. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  11. My doc and nut dont let us have soft foods until after 6 weeks. Week one is clear liquids, week two is full liquids, weeks three through eight are pureed foods. I said to hell with it and bought first stage baby foods. I had my first one today and it wasnt to bad. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  12. Congrats on your loss. My goal is get back to what i weighed when i met my husband 26 yrs ago. Lol.. 150 feels like such long way away but its only 70 more pounds. I know i wont make it before our 25th anniversary in February but I'll be closer. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  13. Have you tried freezing crystal lite in ice trays. Its helpful when you want to chew on something and the cold is nice in the tummy. I also tried putting icecubes in my blender and making snow cones with different sf drinks and Protein drinks. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  14. My husband worked the day i had surgery and took the next two days off to help me if i needed it. (i only needed his help once and that was when i first got home and tried to get settled in bed) I was only in the hospital overnight. As for what you need.. That depends on what you doc and nut have you on. I only needed Water, sf Jello, bone broth, crystal lite and those clear 2oz condiment cups with lids (got those at walmart 50 for 3$). Mind i only wanted the ice water. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm almost a month out post-op and the idea of food is not pleasant. I've really been having to force myself to drink/eat full liquids and now pureed foods. One day the food is okay and the next it turns my stomach and the only thing i want is ice Water and now sf cherry popsicles. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I tried scrambled egg for the first time yesterday and also got ill, today i just scrambled the whites and it was alot easier on my stomach. One day a food might do ok for me and the next it makes me ill. You might try egg beaters or just the whites and see how that goes. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  17. I use unflavored Gelatin and Crystal lite or sf juice or sf drink mix to make Jello, Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  18. I had to drink 2 bottles of that clear lemon liquid the day before surgery, it was nasty tasting and i didnt stray far from the bathroom once it started to work. Its supposed to clean any solids from your body. Luckily if you are only doing liquids your 2 weeks before it only flushes out liquid and will only take an hour or so to clean you out. 25. I had a shake for breakfast made with 8 oz unsweetened almond milk, iso-100 Protein powder (i get at gnc) and a cup of frozen berries or a tablespoon of Peanut Butter and half a frozen banana. For lunch i did 10 oz of Isopure clear Protein Drink also from GNC with my meal. For dinnner depending on how hungry i was i would either finish the isopure (they come in a 20oz bottle) or i would make one with almond milk and iso-100 powder. So long as dinner is your smallest meal your good Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
