  2. I have to say I'm surprised that he didnt at least have a name of someone to refer you to. I go see him Tuesday. I can ask if he knows of a doctor that sees patients from out of state surgeries. I never trusted military doctors. didnt even use them to have babies. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  4. My doc and nut have me set up as Week 1 (or longer if i feel i need it): clear liquids with clear Liquid Protein drink (isopure) Week 2: full liquids with watery baby cereals or watery cream of wheat Weeks 3-8: purees or watery foods Weeks 9-12: soft foods After 3 months i can work with more solid foods No white foods from now on and no booze for about a year.. Im not worried about anything past stage 3 so i might be off on a few donts I know my surgeon put actual stiches in my stomach so that could be why its so different from others. 5. Hello all.. I'm still in my puree stage and have plans to go out to dinner with my family while thwy are in town. I fully plan on taking my own eats but am worried it will make others feel uncomfortable if I do and I dont want to deal with a fight should i take food into a restaurant. Does anyone have any suggestions on eating out while on this stage? I don't know where they want to go to yet but i have a feeling it will be a buffet as we live in las vegas and that is where it's cheapest to eat. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  8. I am trying to get in the Protein. I just cant seem to hold it down and I'm so tired of trying to keep from vomiting or worse yet actually vomiting. I gave up on the Isopure drinks and bought some atkin lift drinks. I did okay on the iso-100 powder with almond milk for a few days but again started the vomiting. I do get my Vitamins in. I tried blending ice with the Protein Drink like an icy but it is nasty and everything seems to taste like sour milk if it has dairy or whay in it. The worst part is feeling to full, Water logged or over stuffed no matter how little i take in. There always feels like there is something sitting in my throat waiting to make its escape. I did end up in the ER week 2 for pain and found out it was pancreatitis,i just havent felt right since and acid is even worse since then. I was supposed to see my doc on Wednesday but had to reschedule due to a back procedure i cant put off any longer or insurance wont cover. Sorry i dont meant to whine or complain. I know its all about time and healing. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I'm almost 5 weeks out and still not hungry. I get cravings for something but i know its all in my head. I do enjoy the smell of foods. I sometimes randomly open something to smell it and enjoy the smell but have no desire to eat. I've tried a few things but the only things that really appeal are ice Water, sf cherry popsicles and broth. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  10. Thank you all for you stories and input. Started this morning off with a tiny bowl (1oz worth) of pureed baby carrots. These may necome my favorite food for the time being. I do have a question for those of you who have more time in. I live in las vegas where we are having 110+ how do you keep enough Water down with getting ill? Ive been trying to sip all day but i either drink to much and get sick or not enough and feel dehydrated? Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  11. Cool. I like mint and it helps with nausea so its a twofer Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  12. Cool. I am soo sick of those damn berry flavored things. I just needed a change and i dig mint. Was worried about the Vitamins lacking something. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  13. @Tammylynnwoods.. Can i ask why they stress not to eat it other then the sugars? I've had a small bit of baby Cereal watered down (sadly this is on my list of okay foods) and some fruit (not sure if this is on my list or not) with Protein powder. I see my doctor in a few days and will find out. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  14. I have been looking into different Multivitamins and found these. Was just wondering if anyone else has tried them. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  16. Have you tried Gatorade G? I used that my first week to balance blood sugars when i felt shakey and low. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  17. @Dub.. I will admit I am nervous with the idea of eating and messing up all the work my doctor did. I have no desire to have to go back under the knife for this, I am already going threw the steps for more back and neck surgery. I was never much of an eater, I was one of those who snacked on what I thought was healthy food and only ate one huge meal at diner. I also lived off coffee with creamer. When I had to force myself to eat 3 times a day I really started to drop weight and contemplated no having surgery but decided to go threw with it because I know myself and falling back into bad habits is to easy for me. I also was never a person to enjoy milk products so having to drink the whey Protein drinks isnt sitting well for me. Thank you for your input and being to mind things I hadnt considered. 18. This is the first time this has happened and i wasnt sure what i had done but thanks to you ladies i am now wiser and hopefully less likely to do it again.I honestly thought at first it was a hormonal flash as i am a 10 year member of the hysterectomy club and my hormones have been crazy since i had surgery and i dont take anything for them since i still have one ovary. Thanks for your input and sharing what sets you off. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  20. @ShelterDog64.. Im only now a month out give or take a few days so I'm still in the I'm to scared to f&;# things up,stage. That is a really good question about the ratios. I too would like to know about fiat. Please share if you find any answers and i will do the same. Congrats and best of luck with your journey Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  21. @Lipsticklady.. Thanks for the info. I did make it dry only a little liquid to smooth it out. I didn't think i ate to fast took me a good half hour to get a little over half down, but i will go slower next time. The relish isnt a no-no? I didnt think to add that or mayo, i have a homemade hatch chile relish or an onion relish I make that I would like to add but affraid the heat/spice would be to much. Thanks for the input Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  22. Tonight I dared pureed chicken with a little salt and pepper mixed in. I measured out my 2oz and took forever to eat what i could. I didnt finish it feeling full and for some reason broke out in a sweat. I have been on the slow end of trying foods. I stayed on Clear liquids longer then needed and have been taking baby steps with full liquids and pureed foods. I even bought baby foods to help me force myself into real food. I am as most of you having issues with the Protein dinks so i thought at least getting some pureed chicken in might help. Has anyone else had issues with breaking into sweats while on this stage? Do i need to back off and continue on with babyfood? I admit today has been my daring day with foods and liquids, maybe it was just to much. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  23. I had a few i liked before surgery and now cant stomach them. I feel im waisting more money on these powders then needed. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  24. Oh yeah.. The crushed ice is great. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
  25. I tried my very first decaf caramel skinny latte on ice today. It was ok but I only managed to get an 1/8 of it down. I doubt I'll be trying it again any time soon. I normally don't do starbucks but i needed something cold that wasnt Water. Where do you buy Inspire protein powder and what flavors do they make? Please and thank you Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App I don't get them at Starbucks. I was going to a local coffee chain that uses Sugar Free chocolate milk to mix their caramel lattes. I get inspire protein at bariatriceating.com. It's the only place I've seen it sold. There's a sample pack set with a few other flavors which is how I initially tried it out.Cool thank you I'll have to look into them. Tired of buying ones that dont finish because its nasty. Wish more sold sample packs Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
