    Low carb not working

I was on a 1200 calorie diet for 6 months before surgery. I lost around 50lbs in that time. It was really easy to follow.

    What to eat now?

I got a call back from my Nut. She said to just stay my course and watch my salt. I don't eat enough to worry about a stict cardiac diet. I'm so happy to hear that, I was seriously worried about changing my meal plans. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    What to eat now?

Hello all. For me stage 3 is actually scarry since I am now on a cardiac diet due to an arterial blockage this last week. I'm supposed to stay away from high fat and red meats, but my pureed foods were add mayo or dressing to everything. Does anyone have any soft food ideas that meet both bariatric and cardiac diets other then fish? I am not a fish eater usually but am trying to work it in more but it always seems so dry without the added fat. Please any ideas are welcome. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    Who did you tell?

@@LisaMergs Do NOT apologize for your feelings. It is hard to believe that someone we trusted would shamelessly share our secrets with the world. Hold your head high and never let the gossip group rent space in your head, they have so little in their lives to make them happy that they have to bury others in order to feel good about themselves. Personally I say f#&$ em, let the talk and wisper. This is your life and something you did to improve your health and well being. NEVER let the shame you or make you feel like less of a person for what you have done. This is NOT high school and you don't have to take their shit. Who did you tell?

I did the same thing. I dont care who knows and I answer all the questions asked. I also felt that I needed to tell those I'm with the most in case of an emergency. I need someone to be able to inform emts or doctors I had this done. I have been asked if I would recommend this surgery to others and my answer is always NO I would not, this is a personal decision to make and I will not influence someone into something this important, but I would recommend a great surgeon if you are interested in it. Just an update.. I'm back home, was released the evening of the 8th. I ended up having an arterial blockage. It took 4 tries to break it up and a butt load of blood thinners. I am now on a walker and have to take aspirin and a blood thinner. I'm one giant bruise but I'm home and alot more healthy then I was. Thanks Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    What to eat now?

Thank you all for the ideas. I did call my Nut. Just waiting for her to call me back. I will try cooking the fish in foil pockets and see if it helps with the dryness. I tried making salmon and it was dry, I'll look into other fish. I usually go with chicken or turkey but i was told fish is better so I'm expanding my options. 3 days post op and curious

@singlebabe Yes it's all normal the first week or two but it gets better. I had issues left and right in the beginning with Clear liquids. I found popsicles to be heaven. I am almost at two months and sometimes still have issues with nausea. Talk to the doctor and they can prescribe meds oral or suppository. I found the suppository helped better for me and lasted longer. Congratulations and good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    What to eat now?

I honestly didn't think to call my Nut, i wouldn't put off calling her for my bariatric food needs but didnt cross my mind for my cardiac needs. I've been to busy making follow up appts and stressing to think clearly. I was only released last night from the hospital. Thanks for reminding me she isn't just my sleeve Nut. 21. I took personal hygiene items. Fresh socks and undies (need to have for ride home) as well as shorts. Wore my older undies (only wore for long enough to get from house to hospital) and shorts night of surgery so i could get around and walk without my butt out there for the world.
