  2. I had my first contact with the doctor in December. He holds seminars for free to explain tons of information. I set my first appt with him in January and went threw the heart test, nut classes once a month for 6 months, the pych evaluation and all the weigh ins. On July 14th I had my surgery. Im glad it took as long as it did because it gave time to wrap my head around the cjanges I was making in my life. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    plateaus and other ungodly events.

Congrats on you 8lbs.. I am 3 weeks out today but i gained 2 lbs when i went in for my 1 week follow up. I was so upset until they reassured me it was gas and Water. I had a follow up monday with my gp for unrelated for unrelated infection and was shocked that i had lost 24 lbs in less then 2 weeks. It will happen. You didnt gain weight overnight and your body will take over and burn it all in time. Water, Protein and movement are the best tools. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    1 day post op

You are very welcome. Dumping is something you will have to be careful of from now on. Fatty foods, sugary foods both cause it. I've been trying to force myself to do full liquids and am still to affraid because they make me feel like I'm stretching my stomach and I'm a wimp to pain.. Lol.. Remember to take your multi Vitamins, nasty as they are.. Lol Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    1 day post op

Fatty or sugary foods cause dumping. I have to say im suprised you are able to get that much liquid down so quicky. Try sugar free Jello if you can. It makes you feel full and gives you the chewing motion. I froze chrystal like and ate those and it helped alit with chewing and my constant thirst Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

    Don't want to eat

Dalirya I had my surgery July 14th and at the same stage you are at. I only want ice Water but I'm slowly trying to force myself to down more Protein drink and eat two tablespoons of baby Cereal a day. It truely sucks as i dont want the food and the protein makes me feel to full. I do take my Vitamins tho. I tried sugar free Jello and pudding and its still to thick for my liking. broth isnt so bad. Try that if you can. My doc told me, Its your body and you know if its to much for you. Talk to your doctor or nutri. And see wjat they say. I get desolvable vitamins at GNC. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

They pushed iv liquids gave me some antibiotics. Today they sent me home with more antibiotics and to stay on clear liquids. I have no gallbladder so nothing there to fix. Hasanyone else had to deal with this and if so what helped? I tried some Jello and it didnt settle. My craving for ice Water is gone and the thought of putting anything in me is not a happy one. 17. Firstly congrats on your weight loss and thank you for sharing your story. I was 301 in January when I started all this and was 256 on my surgery day the 14th of this month. Secondly i totally feel you pain with the Protein drinks. Before surgery i didnt have issues drinking them, now however, they taste so beyond nasty. I use clear Isopure Protein Drinks my surgeons office suggest and they taste like sour milk now. I'm very happy with my surgeon, he is the best and takes no bull from anyone, it's the other docs I'm not to sure about. They aren't up to speed with dealing with bariatric patients and lets face it there is alot to follow up on. Im just worried stopping my type 2 diabetuc meds might be a factor in the pancreatitis. I called to make an appt with my pcp and found out age is no longer at the clinic so now have to find a new one in the middle of this mess. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

  20. I am going into week 2 and am able to do full liquids and baby cereals. I'm having a hard time taking in anything thicker then my issopure (which now taste like sour milk to me) and am craving ice Water like crazy. Also my liquid Vitamins now taste and smell beyond nasty as before i could take them mixed in issopure. Any suggestions on how to hide the flavor of zinc?
