  1. I walked the first 6 months post op and dropped weight quickly. Re: the dreaded saggy skin. I started working out with a PT and although I haven't dropped in lbs the inches and fat % are melting away. My arms and legs are getting toned and love the feeling of working out with a PT as purely walking for me was getting boring fast. Like others said it depends a lot on body chemistry but I'd rather build the muscle that I have from PT. Btw at the moment I work out 4x a week at about 1hr 20-30minutes.

  2. I've looked back on my sleeve journey since October. I have had some bad days as of late but I'm trying to look at how far I've come.

I started at 311lbs I am currently 229lbs. 82lbs loss is not where I thought I would be at this point - I thought it would be more but it is what it is.

The positives I have lost 20 yes 20% percent of my body fat when I started. I have lost 38 inches all over. 10 from the waist and chest and 8 from the hips and I am down 14 BMI. I started working out with a Personal trainer and couldn't do 1 squat now I'm doing a May squat challenge.

The negatives are I'm not drinking as much Water as I would like and I have picked up some of my bad habits that I am trying to rid of which has been hard but this whole journey is what it says a journey. It's been 'fun' figuring out the things that I cannot eat anymore.... NOT lol but it's part of the process.

Would I have the weight loss surgery again.....I'm still hmmmm and ahhhh about this. Would I have liked to tried a little harder than going to the extreme of cutting out 75% of my stomach?? oh yeah BUT on the other hand I'm glad I did it because my portions are restricted. Sometimes I forget to eat because I'm not hungry and I have to force myself to eat.

It's been a process and having the surgery has changed my outlook on life. I've definitely become a fitter me and I am looking forward to where the rest of my will take me.

I hope everyone is having great success after their surgery and look forward to hearing from you all about your experiences.

  3. I am about 3 months or so post op and I'm wondering how many calories everyone is eating at this point. I'm still losing an average of 2 pds a week which is fine with me but I'm hungrier than i was before and I want to make sure I don't go overboard.

I'm almost 8months post op and it's a rarity that I feel hungry. Are you sure it's not gas that you feel? At about 3 months I thought I was hungry as well but I ended up having reflux issues.

  4. Cinpep this has been an issue for me too but I've really had to be disciplined with myself to break this habit. You can always try this is small steps. Say if you eat up to 10pm try to stop at 9.30. Do it 30mins at a time. It will be hard but will be worth the effort.

  5. Month 7 and wait loss is becoming so difficult now. Not dropping like it was. I started training with a Personal trainer and she said the first few weeks I'd probably gain and now this is freaking my head out. I haven't gained since surgery and now I am!! Very frustrating as I am so close to 84lbs lost but it keep fluctuating between 80 and 82lbs ugh. I need to stop putting pressure on myself but really wanted to be 100lbs loss by the end of May. Have nutritionist appointment today. She wasn't any help when I started so don't know what she's going to do today. On the positive the inches are slowly going if the weight isn't.
