Are you self funded? I was self funded as well and all my appointments and visits with the surgeon are covered under that for up to 2 years after surgery. You might want to look at all your paperwork to check. Don't fret hun. Hopefully you will hear back from the surgeon soon. Positive vibes to you.

Try not to worry it could be anything especially since your scratched then a lot. I know it's very hard but try not to scratch them. Just give them a ring and let them know what's going on. You will be fine Hun. Good vibes and positive thoughts.

Because of my age my surgeon said that there's no problem for me to get pregnant after 6 months out. I've waited 9 months and starting IVF soon. Stomach tends to be 100% healed at 6 months out but due to still losing they want you at a stable weight before getting pregnant.

I tried a steak tonight for dinner and threw it up almost immediately. That's actually a first. It's feels very uncomfortable for me to eat. I actually haven't tried bacon since I had the surgery. I have certain foods that give me triggers of feeling bad like citrus or acidic foods, chicken, ice cream, and milk based products. Maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself at the moment. 9 months out and thought it would get better.

Seriously guys I have major problems digesting foods like beef/steak (not mince so much) and definitely chicken. I'm seriously thinking about cutting these out of my diet and just become a pescatarian. Anyone done this after the sleeve? I hate eating. Seriously hate it. If I didn't have to do it I wouldn't.

I had this a few weeks after surgery. Several times a day I'd dry heave and have terrible reflux. I was given omeprozale and after a month of taking it, it went away.

You guys I got norovirus last week and it was VERY bad. TMI - from both ends. When I was throwing up I feel like I damaged my stomach. I'm 8-9 months from surgery so stomach should be healed by now but I can't eat. I thought I felt better and started introducing 'normal' food on Saturday. I've only been able to eat crackers which I know is a no no. I can't eat Protein as I just get so nauseous and feel like I'm going to puke. Anyone had norovirus after surgery? How long did it take to recoup? I'm still quite tired but was able to go to the gym today. I don't want to undo all I've done because of this stupid thing. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm so close to calling the surgeon.

Tried to keep my surgery secret. Enter my mother-in-law who's told everyone she knows. So livid. Not her business to tell!! Btw I didn't tell my MIL my husband did. I was livid with him at one point as well because she is a HUGE gossip!!

Hang in there. I started with a PT and for a month I wouldn't lose ANYTHING. Then all of of a sudden 10lbs came off. Make sure you are eating enough especially if you are exercising.

My BMI when I started was 52!! It is now 35 after losing 90lbs. My goal is to lose another 50lbs more. I was sleeve in Oct 2016. Being sleeved was the best thing

Seriously don't think age has anything to do with it!! OMG I feel sorry for my husband sometimes because of my moods. I'm on antidepressants as well and have been pretty much since my teens. Antidepressants hasn't touched the monster inside me. Went to see the doctor and she told me my surgery shouldn't effect me this way. Don't think she knows anything about this surgery. I read before there will be hormone issues but never thought it would be this bad. I think I might be turning a corner at least I hope I am for sanity and my husband's sake.

I'm so so sorry about the loss of your mother. Hugs
I understand how you feel as I was there. I went on holiday on and off for 3 months and only in May I was able to get back on track. I gave myself mini-goals in order to get back on track. Mini-goal 1 drink my Water everyday. mini-goal two cut out the sugars and carbs. mini-goal 3 go to the gym at least 4 times a week 1.5hrs each session. Mini-goal 4 get my Protein in etc.
I can only imagine in your situation it may be harder but try to keep your focus on the goal.
Lots of hugs for you. -
Congratulations!! Hubby and I want to start trying as well. I'm 90lbs down and 9 months since surgery. Exciting times. Hugs to you and try to think positive and take it easy.

Hi Guys,
My husband and I are wanting to go through IVF. We've been trying for about 11yrs without a sniff of a positive so this is our journey we will have to take.
I'd like to know if anyone has gone through the IVF process after gastric sleeve and what their experiences were especially with the medicines etc.
Thanks in advance.

My husband and I have been trying on and off for years to have a baby since being married for 11yrs. After many consultants telling me to lose weight in order for them to help me. I ignored them and then went on to see if we could adopt. After the adoption stage 1 where they said I needed to lose weight in order for them to refer me that was it. It's so funny bigger I didn't see what other people saw. I didn't think I was THAT big. Now 86lbs later I feel so much better and looking forward to IVF soon!!

Hi Jordan Flake, minus the depression I had all the same issues. Every single one has improved in the 3 months since my surgery. I don't think anyone can tell you which, if any, side effects you may have after surgery because we are all so different. You just need to weigh the pros and cons and go with what you are most comfortable with. Good luck with everything!
I agree with this. I've had depression and I can't tell if the surgery has effected this or the hormonal changes. I weighed up the pros and cons and found the pros are much better than the cons. I'm 8 months post op.
