Started this journey by taking an educational class back in July 2016. Got insurance to approve, saw a nutritionist for 3 months, a bariatric psychologist  approval after 3 visits,  a cardiologist & pulmonologist approval as well. Pre op i ended up becoming anemic... saw a hematologist & took lots of iron. Slowly, got my iron up. Bounced between sleave and DS before deciding on the DS in the end.syrgery date was April 20th, 2017
