  1. What is the difference between soft baked and moist baked fish?
  2. I know I'm not that far into my journey, but it has been a journey. My surgery went super well. Doc thought I had a hernia, I didn't. Shewwww Talk about nausea, wow! If I even swallowed my own saliva, I began to get pukey. Luckily, I had no surgery or gas pain other than my incisions. So I get home, first few days are cool, and then my husband ate two large hotdogs covered in relish, mustard, and ketchup, with potatoe salad and Cheetos infront of me. My dog and I sat and watched him eat almost every bite, and when I realized that I had become just like my dog, I cried and went into instant surgery regret, like wtf did I do to myself? I wanted that food so bad, I couldn't think straight. Of course I got over it, it's not like I can reverse what I've done, but smelling and watching some one eat is like torture. And then I realized I am a food addict. I am addicted to food! That made my choice to be sleeved very clear and suddenly it isn't so terrible. I'm having issues getting my protien and water requirements in but that will get better. I've been walking, I'm no longer holding my tummy and hissing in pain from my incisions when I stand, and I'm days away from my 7th day. Yay full liquids! In other words, I'm feeling good. I no longer have regret, I will meet each battle with my head up and this will be the best choice I've ever made for myself other than marrying my amazing and supportive husband who will also be getting the sleeve in a few short weeks. That is my journey thus far.
  3. I have sciatica so bad I've lost the feeling in my right calf and most of my right foot. Then of course I have the sharp lightening plain that shoots from my buttocks to my right ankle. I was sleeved 4/12 and have had no relief from the sciatica. It makes new wanna scream and the plain is very depressing along with the sleeve norms. My question is, does/ did anyone have the same problem, did it get better on its own with weight loss or so I need to seek out physical therapy? Anything that could help, I'm open ears. Thanks in advanced.

    Sciatica

Same here. I've been to chiropractors that pop everything and chiropractors that use electrodes and massage therapy. Neither helped. My next step is surgery also, but I'd rather not if in the near future it will go away with weight loss as a few of my physicians said it would. I was looking into laparoscopic laser surgery which I may have to do. I want to try physical therapy first though.

    Full?

This is awesome advice, but I can't even get my requirements in yet. So you have any counting tips so it doesn't feel like such a chore?

    Transformation

Wow you're kicking butt! You look awesome, keep up the great work.
  7. I had to wait till muy leak test the next day before I was even allowed ice chips. I was given mouth swabs to help and I kept lip balm on my lips. That made a huge difference.

    5 Days post op.

I was given a protien shake the next day, I'm not real enthused about them. Honestly I'm still not able to intake all the protien or water. I try, but unsuccessful. Like you, I can't wait till I can have soups and mashed potatoes. Yum. Most everyone I've spoke to eat what they want within the first few months with the exception of red meat like steak. I'm not going to test the waters, to afraid of the consequences.

    Sleeved 4/11 5 days out

I think I got a little lucky, I have to have a appointment with my doc on day 7 before I move into my week 2 diet. I can't start my vitamins until then either. I also have a guide that tells me. Im so looking forward to mashed potatoes and blended soups.
  10. idk if we do, but I pray we don't. I couldn't imagine having the stomach flu with the sleeve.

    Full?

Sleeved 4/12. I wondered the same thing. The only way I know I'm full, is nothing else fits. It kinda sucks really because by the time that happens I'm spitting up like a baby. I've done out twice. I haven't experienced the chest pain thing yet, but I imagine that's later when we actually eat something.
