Forgot to mention I was banded in Mexico and he will do them..bring your Dr. Report and Xrays and most likely he will go it the first time in his office if he can see/feel the port. No pain...

Dr. Paul Wizman in Margate, FL - Coral Springs area - (954) 969-1355 2960 N St Rd 7 Suite 102, Margate, Fl across from Hospital Talk to Kim and she will give you the details..I really liked him my first fill was 5/28/08. First consult $75, then if all is well he may fill in the office it would be $150 total..if the first one he feels he needs to do fluoro he will use the hospital and that total charge would be $230.. Then at the office each one there after is $150..

As, I was told by Barbara, if you have already contacted Belite then they will be working through them. If no contact was made you can go direct..(if Belite did work, they need to be paid and they honor that system)

I talked about being lap banded about 3 years ago with my friend Sharon, she was all for it too but there was still unknowns, as this was a newer procedure. We decided to wait and then in 2007 I said I need to do something to change my life..I am obese with sleep problems and just had a total knee replacement in 2007. I talked with my doctor who is also my friend and she encouraged me to do this..Unbeknownst to me I heard from Sharon in January 2008, she said we need to do this lap band surgery and she was ready..I said so was I. In the next month or so I read everything I could and collaborated with doctors, new lap banders and post lap banders..I saw the positive effects and Sharon & I said lets set up surgery and do it..On March 28, 2008 we were banded and now we are heading in the right direction to our new lives. At this point we will be getting a fill in a few weeks and will continue our journey...I will keep you informed along the way..by the way coincidentally we are both down 13lbs and we both started with the same weight..:huh2:

I had surgery 3/28/08 with my sister, Sharon on the same day in Juarez Mexico, just across the borger from El Paso..Wonderful doctor, Dr. Jose Rodriquez and would recc. him to all. This to me was pain free and in a top notch new hospital built in 11/07. All the staff were great and would be happy to give you more details...

I happen to be on line as this came in...I am going to Juarez via El Paso as that makes the most sense for me..I am having surgery Friday with my sister too.. Belite is a service and a facilator..for Dr. Rod as we call him. They have some sort of fee included but not that much for all they do..or you can contact the doctor directly the difference is not more than a couple hundred dollars if that..I am using Teri from Belite.. I really don't know of the other doctors..I do think there is a hospital in TJ and the Hospital Angeles in Juarez is a new place and I hear forst hand it is state of the art.. I would call Teri, she took care fo everything and so far so good..I am heading there to El Paso on the 27th for surgery on the 28th with my sister..Where in Florida are you?..I also have the doctors direct info if you need it too..I have been calling about the fills in Florida and that is the most irratating of all trying to locate a reasonable price.most will not do Mexico patients..I am a self pay and am very serious about what I am doing with this surgery...my direct email is brenda_t@sprynet.com if you want direct contact. Thanks so much for your reply and we are heading there 3/28. I am working with Teri and she has been great. Is there anything special one needs that we may not be thinking of? I know I am having trouble finding a fill here in Florida as some of them want $400+. I may have to fly back as that would be cheaper and a quick get away.. Did you notice if htey had a safe storage area in the hospital room for your personal items? If you had to do this over again what advise would you give one for pre-op? Sorry for all the questions but I am trying to be prepared..Thanks again..

my sister and I are using Dr. Rod and have heard wonderful things about him. If anyone is going to be there then give us a shout..we are going to Juarez. We are very excited to ake this big change in our lives.

I live in FLorida and my sister and I are considering Dr. Rodriguez..Is there anything special you could add that may make the surgery better for us and anything you might have learned that we could improve on... I picked you for some questions as we are close to the same age and area..and you seem very pleased with the surgery..

Now that you have had the surgery with Dr. Rod..are you pleased..I am seriously considering the lap band next month and am trying to feel good about traveling to Mexico..and did you need a passport? Thanks...
