Which will be fine until I stall or gain. Maybe then I will have learned my lesson and only weigh once in awhile. I'm sure you guys are doing great and you will feel so awesome when you see it had been working! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Wheew. Its a lil wet feeling in the corner thats red but yayy no fever. Im hoping its just irritated. Thank u for your reply. My hubby is a fireman/medic and said the same thing lol. But i dont listen to him. I want to listen to u guys!!!! Haha. Im hopin irritated. The i cision is right where my shorts/pants go so it gets rubbed a bit. Ahhhhhh. THANKS! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App It looks to me like it got irritated, as you said, it is on your pants line. I would put some neosporin type cream on it and cover it while you have pants on or wear a dress or something that will not rub it.Not trying to argue but i was told not to use Neosporin. I had an allergic reaction to the steri-strips after surgery which caused huge blisters and left massive scars. I asked if I could use Neosporin and was told not to because it will slow down the healing process. I was told to make sure I kept the incisions dry. You may want to get a nonstick bandage to wear over it so it doesn't rub. I'm sure every Dr. has different advice so before using anything I would call the nurse and ask. My Dr. said it wasn't an infection without a fever. So I would just keep and eye on it. Is it oozing any or wet feeling? Hopefully it's just irritated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I started puréed last Tuesday and honestly I haven't really done puréed at all besides some yoplait Greek whips, eggs and mashed potatoes. Honestly I have totally cheated and been eating chicken and beef and cheese with no trouble. I don't suggest anyone try it but I have been okay so far. I really haven't been able to eat more than a few bites of anything at one time. I hope you get some wonderful recipes for puréed! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Back to the Dr. For my one week appt. today and I'm down 27.6 lbs. since pre-op diet (3 weeks total). They said that I'm ahead of the curve. I start puréed next Tuesday and looking forward to getting some energy back. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My Dr. Required the liquid pre-op diet to shrink the liver. This allows better access to your stomach during the surgery. He requires 2 week liquid after surgery because your stomach is swollen from surgery and going back to eating right away could cause a staple line leak because the solid foods put to much pressure on your tiny stomach. Can't get protein in

I tried the premier Protein on my preop diet and hated them. They have a terrible chemical aftertaste for me. So my nut suggested core power Protein drinks instead. I love them and they aren't to thick so I am drinking them after surgery now with no issues getting in the protein that way. I'm still on liquids till next week. I hope something works out for you! Check with your Surgeon they may have some suggestions for you. Congrats on not smoking and continued success. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm having no pain swallowing at all, I'm drinking water and protein shakes. I can even gulp but I try not to. I am however free sipping and I keep water with me at all times. I had a small hiatal hernia as well but my surgeon said it was to small to worry about and didn't do any repairs. I would definitely talk to your team about it. Keep in mind everyone is different. Good luck tomorrow! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
