    Still thinking

I am 11 weeks out and I do regret it . I am still not feeling well and that seems abnormal. I still currently hate all food and drinking even grosses me out. It is hard for me to eat and even the smells of food is very hard to take. Watching my family eat is pretty hard and gross to me. I have no energy . Tired a lot- but I eat so little that isn't surprising . I am praying this changes. I have lost a lot of weight but now I just feel like a sick person instead of a fat person. I would rather feel like a fat person. Again- I am still praying this passes . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Weight gain...

Yeah my dr wasn't worried about the Protein at all for like 3 weeks! And it was very hard for me to get liquids- and then it all changed and I drank lots of water--- I do think most people get that stall. I wouldn't even weigh week 3-5! I am not a big weigher so that's easier for me to say- but I lost one pound in three weeks- it was very frustrating- bit since then I have actually wanted the weight loss to slow down a bit- so don't worry!! It will happen! Yes I don't think I got enough pre op help before I did his surgery. It's done now- but sometimes I think it's like I cut off my foot when I had a little itch. Ha! I was a low bmi and didn't have health problems- but had been overweight my whole life and knew I couldn't get it off myself. Anyway- I wish you the best of luck! It will come off - I promise you that Oh and yeah- I have pooped like once a week since surgery - yikes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Weight gain...

So, let me understand because im 3wks out and i feel like im not losing weight. I lost most of minebefore surgery. I feel like im at a stall and even may have gained. Im still not having a bowel movement so thats not helping me feeling fuller. But so doing the 14 day liquid phase will jump start the weight lose again? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App At three weeks out you shouldn't be worried about this:) most people stall at three weeks ( my stalk was three weeks long) but then it goes back to losing again! Keep on the plan your dr told you! You are so early- it does work I promise! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Nausea seven weeks out

I didn't mean get hooked on it like a drug addict. I mean I know of a person who has had this surgery that says she is very dependent on it and has been taking it for awhile . @@aligator517 wow- my doctor was so blasé about it- like didn't think it was a big deal at all I wish mine was more proactive Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Nausea seven weeks out

Would love to hear what your doctor says. I had zero nausea until 8 weeks- I am currently 11 weeks and it is still here. Everything grosses me out- every food and even water. It's been horrible the last few weeks. I just got a prescription for zofran but didn't really want to take it ( I will but I just want it to go away- scared I will get hooked taking zofran) Anyway I saw my doctor about week 9 1/2 and he said " while most people don't experience this it is still under the normal range . " not helpful Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. After three weeks of having nausea 24 hours a day - I finally called the dr and told him to give me something . I actually went to see him last week - or maybe the week before- and he said this was all normal. The nurse today said " well this is unusual" which did not make me feel better. Anyone not gotten sick until later like this?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I would stop weighing... Because - at three weeks you very well might stall - I lost one pound in three week--- how I weigh once a week or even once a two weeks good luck- I am ten weeks out and can assure you - this surgery does its job- ( or has so far ) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Failure, forgiveness & getting real

Have you tried Premier Protein, injury, Quest, Syntrax nectar, or any of the other supplements? Why force down something you can't stand? How far out are you that you aren't eating food? Have you talked to your NUT about your challenges? I am ten weeks out. My doctor seems to think I am pretty normal. I went back to Clear liquids and puréed for awhile but recently got back on food. I have tried all the shakes and I hate them- but have been drinking premier occasionally . I haven't found something I love yet but am going to try unjury next- Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Should I tell my housemate?

I think it would be hard to hide. I am ten weeks out and cleared to eat anything but can tolerate almost nothing. Protein shakes and powder are everywhere and I don't even sit down to eat anymore ( why sit down and get a plate for one bite) Good luck to you. I am struggling as well with who to tell. I hate to feel like I am lying- I also had a friend who did the surgery and said she just started working out and not eating much ( also true) but all of her friends and others think she had the surgery and wonder why she won't tell them . Sigh- hard choice I know. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hey all! Just checking in. I am 10 weeks out and not feeling awesome. I still really can't eat much at all. How much do y'all eat? I eat about 2-3 bites a meal. That's it. Maybe 500 - 600 calories a day . Maybe . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Failure, forgiveness & getting real

I use gene pro and hate it- it is definitely NOT flavorless . It is so gross to me. I have gotten to where I will Mix it with a very small Amount of liquid and take it like a shot. Hold my nose and then take a sip of G2 before I let go of my nose - it's an ordeal that I dread every day . Protein is my big problem as well. food still grosses me out so o really have to work to get protein- someone told me unjury Protein powder is truly flavorless. Trying that next Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. @@LipstickLady that's so interesting- sounds like what I have imposed on myself. My doctor allowed basically anything after week 3. I am glad to hear this. I had started worrying honestly. food still grosses me out and smells make me almost sick. I had begun really thinking this was my life ... And I would be on liquids for life ( I am a dramatic pessimist sometimes) Which would be sad honestly. How much can you eat now? Can you eat meat? I am worried I won't ever like meat again- which would make me have to depend on this Nasty nasty Protein shakes for forever Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
