  1. Okay so from week 8-14 I was really nauseas - zofran didnt help and all food really grossed me out. I have not been able to eat meat but everything really grossed me out--- anyway- some days I drank calories just to have calories. And I ate some crackers and chips just to eat something and it didn't make me super nauseas-- I am not setting up good food habits and I KNOW this- I just felt so badly and couldn't get anything in- - anyway- I am coming out of that yeah! - but still am not really handling meat well. My question is- can I get some suggestions for good foods I can eat that isn't meat or vegetables- unfortunately I am not back on salads yet either and the only vegetables I really like are the starchy ones. I was really counting on Protein and meat to be my big option. So what are some good healthy things I can eat that will Keep me on track . Beans - eggs- any other groundbreaking ideas Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Confession and suggestions?

Thank you all guys! . I really wish I liked fish -- but sadly I just hate it- always have . My diet from dr was normal food at 3 weeks! I couldn't do that and did liquids for longer and then actually went back to Clear Liquids . I had a few bites of turkey actually. All red meat is bad for my stomach. Haven't had chicken in awhile because it hurt so badly. Thanks again- I appreciate yall Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I hate that I had this surgery

I don't have too much to add I am so so sorry. I will say I did great free surgery- until 8 weeks and I went downhill . From 8-14 weeks I was super nauseas and ate very very very little. Like maybe 3-500 calories a day. Everything made me so grossed out and sick. I didn't feel fat anymore but I felt sick-- and that was worse. This week it has turned around and I am feeling so much better. Yours sounds more serious than mine- I am so sorry. I wish you had more support at home and home that you get enough support here!!! 4. 14 weeks out- meat makes my stomach hurt a lot. I fear that I won't be able to eat meat for forever and I will be stuck with this disgusting Protein powder. Before surgery I ate meat a lot ... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. I actually haven't weighed in a few weeks but last time I weighed I had lost 43 I think? From week 8-14 I was nauseous all day - every smell made me gag and all food made me so grossed out. I hate Water now. Which is so bizarre and stinks because I don't drink coffee... So options are slim ( don't like crystal light type drinks- too sweet now) I went to the doctor multiple times but he just said my stomach must be sensitive . Just this week I have started feeling a bit better. I can't eat meat at all- which is worrisome to me because - I hate hate Protein powder and I worry I will have to take it my whole life I just feel like before I felt fat. Now I feel Sick. I would rather feel fat. However I am still hoping it will turn around . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

When did food stop grossing you out?

I was hoping month three would be the magical number but it wasn't. I have such a hard time getting in calories and Protein is a huge struggle everyday. Hoping it would be better by now Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Every post I have made here is for a complaint- and I apologize for that. I have not had an easy timeWith this surgery. I KNOW most people On here aren't doctors- but that doesn't mean y'all Don't have a ton of good info- so I want your opinions . Here is the problem About 7 weeks out I had all These weird bubbles in my Throat and was burping a lot. Called Dr and he said to double my Prevacid . So I did- took Twice a day. A little before 8 weeks out I started feeling super nauseas - like didn't eat for three days and drank very little . It came out of the blue as I hadn't been nauseas One day before that . I was surprised. Anyway- called doctor and they suggested going back on clear liquids- the purée - etc. i did that . At this time all the bubbles are gone- still Burping a lot . I went back to Prevacid once a day After prob 10 days I called Doctor again- the nausea isn't nearly as bad but it's still There- constantly. When I wake up until bedtime . he gave me zofran. I have taken two and it doesn't seem to change the way I feel. The nausea isn't like nausea before surgery- it's higher up Like behind my ribs and in bottom of Throat. I will burp and I feel better for a few minutes. What is this? Is it reflux? Or really nausea? I have never gotten heartburn- pain or burning in Chest or food Coming up . Will this go away?? I Feel like a sick person all the time and as a mother of three little Ones- it's hard. I keep telling myself it will get better it will get better- but this doesn't seem that common at 11 weeks Thanks so much for any opinions Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What do y'all think is wrong?

Thanks everyone. I spoke ( and cried) to my surgeon today for a long time. He doesn't think anything is technically wrong. Doesn't think it's GERD- doesn't think it's a stricture - doesn't think I have a leak- he just thinks it is taking my stomach longer to adjust. It was hard to hear because I feel so badly- I told him I would wait until our four month appt if I can and then we have to start doing some testing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Looking for August sleevers

I think this thread is so interesting- how the surgery affects people so very differently - some people can't eat Hardly anything and are still repulsed by food ( like me and am terrified I will never like food again) and then others who can tolerate anything. It's just seemingly so random. It's so interesting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
