    Does anyone regret surgery

I have posted in the past about severely regretting this surgery. I am now 5 months out and def am so happy I did it! I am not controlled by food anymore!!! What a dream! As far as going out and enjoying food-- I get a huge thrill everytime I am out and don't stuff my face like I use too but eat a little amount and am satisfied!!!' I mean I don't sit there and think- " i sure Do wish I could finish off that bowl of queso" - it's more Like- oh my gosh I had three bites and am so satisfied and don't want more!!!!!!! It's what I always wanted to be able to do for myself--- say no to food ---a lot. It's so empowering to me to really not be that interested. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Does it get better?

Oh gah this post sounds so much like me . I wasn't happy with my sleeve until about 16 weeks out. I was really sick and had to go back to liquids for quite awhile. I remember saying many times to my husband- what if I am always like this?? My dr and nurse every said that it was pretty abnormal- all that to say- it's now all good. It will get better. How much did you lose...

It's been 16 weeks and I have lost only 50. This seems a little slow to me- but I started at 212 pounds.... So I expected it to be slower. Great luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

When did you start loving your sleeve?

Not until about 17 weeks . I was very sick starting about week 6 and it was really bad for awhile. No meds helped and I just really didn't eat or drink much. I was terrified it was never going away. It is weird still how little I eat and I am surprised that I can be healthy eating this little but... It took a lot longer than I thought. Everyone seemed so happy on here with theirs and I was not. I have come around though. Great luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Protein vs Calories what's too much

I am 5 months out and I still don't get enough calories in. To get my Protein I have to do a shake for breakfast or lunch and then a Protein Bar at some point in the day . That is usually 50 and then I just hope what I do eat accounts for he other ten Grams. My shake is 160 calories- Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I didn't have it at all after surgery- but at week 6 I had it for 6 weeks straight - all that to say- everyone is different . Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Low BMI

How do you stop the weightloss though if one doesn't really feel like eating. That's what I'm worried about. So glad it's all worked out so well for you! Honestly I haven't even thought about that. I have heard that your body will level off and stop.!but I mean- there are ways to get in calories- like everyone said- the slider foods go down easy. If I wanted to stop losing weight I THINK I would eat other stuff before protein and that would do it. I can't even imagine wanting to stop the weight loss ha! I just ASSUME ( maybe not smart of me) it will taper off . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Low BMI

I had a bmi of 34 and about 60-70 pounds to lose and self pay. . I struggled with the decision for a long time .i kept thinking- come on you can lose 50 pounds.... But the fact is I have been overweight for my whole life and dieting my whole life. I wanted to be done with the roller coaster . I had surgery on August and last time I weighed had lost 49. It took me a long time to be happy with this surgery because I felt horrible for about 6 -7 - weeks --- weeks 8-week 15 and really worried about what I had done. I am happy now. I love how food doesn't rule my brain. I don't think about it really except to try to get ij Protein. I love weighing less than my husband! And I love feeling more in control. Really think about it . It is def a huge decision and I honestly don't think I knew how much it would change my life . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Got approved but still not sure....

I was about 70 pounds overweight and was healthy too. I had high cholesterol , but dr said it was probably hereditary - I regretted my choice for months, but am happy with it now. I still have twenty more to lose. But really like how uninterested I am in food I wouldn't be scared of the surgery - but life is really different afterwards that's for sure Great luck to you!!! 21. I know this has been discussed but I never felt like I really understood. I am 16 weeks out . Losing very slowly- 1-2 pounds a week and am good with that. I still eat very very little. My question is-- will I have to eat this little for forever to keep losing weight. I Currently eat so little because I have no interest in food - HOWEVER- I hear that will Come back... So my concern is- at 9 months out when I start eating 1000-1200 calories a day WILL I be able to lose weight? I am worried my body is thinking this current state is normal- i prob eat 6-8 hundred a day now maybe . On a good day. Some days less. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    What are pros and cons?!

I am happy now but it took 15 weeks to get happy. From week 6-14 I was super nauseous all day ( zofran didn't help at all) and probably ate 200 calories a day . I very much regretted it. But happily I am better now. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
