Thanks Vicki, but I've gained 7lbs (according to my home scale)..now i'm 282.9..i'm going to bgh and get an official weight. Now, I wake up hungry which I never did before grrr. At least you're close to 1-derland you'll get there again... heck we both will there eventually

I hate missing the meeting too. I could have really used the support. I think i've gained 5lbs since my last appt and I dont go back until sept 15th grrrrr Who was the guest speaker?

WoW crztchr, I'm amazed at your stats! You are really in tuned with your band to only need 2 CCs for such a wonderful weightloss:thumbup:!

Very well said Holli, The world is a very big place with many different standards of beauty and that includes "size". I am a "Big Gurl" and LOVE myself and other big folks. The best thing about choosing the band is that it allows "us" to choose what size we want to be, while helping to get to a healthy weight. I would enjoy having a shape which is nice and curvy and not thin....because "thin" is NOT in!

Don't forget beauty is inside and out. IMHO the most beautiful people are those who shine from the inside

Hey Bugs... glad you got your surgery! You should really try to just stick with the liquids until they advance you to puree. The reason for the liquid diet is to keep your pouch from churning and possibly popping a suture. Plus the swelling needs to go down. Towards the end of the week, I think you get to do puddings?? You should call Jeanne to see what you can have to stave off your hunger. Good Luck! :smile:

Hey Val, The same thing happened to me. I'm getting over a bad cold (bronchitis) and doing liquids/mushies. Today I had 8 oz BOOST and was only able to get through abot 60% of it. I was able to finish off the 40% after about 20min... but I feel nice and full. I had my appt yesterday and lost 4lbs! I aint too mad about being sick. lol Have fun in long beach!

China ...You is tooo funny!!!:wub: But yea.. Kim is nice, she probably was just having a bad day and did'nt realize her tone or something. You're doing really good! I'm still struggling with 2-3lbs loss/gain ... I'm going to ask for a small..little..fill and see if that helps. The bahamas is gonna be fun ..wish I could go Bring me back a coffee mug or a man :cursing:!

Hey Bugs, I'm glad you decided to go ahead with the surgery. Remember this is for YOU and not for anyone else! If you have any problems over there just talk to Dr. Hoffman, I'm sure he'll handle it. I remember during one of my office visits, I caught one of the nurses listening outside the door instead of just coming in. I thought it was amusing at first but later heard some other things about this particular nurse so now i'm wondering whats going on with these nps'<shrug>>:scared2: But anyways.. if they give you attitude...just give it back to em!!!

Hi Everyone! My surgery date was Dec 8th and I lost post-op: 51lbs (gained 4 pounds back hehe) and lost pre-op: 29lbs (south beach)! My Total weight loss is 80lbs! I have'nt had to have a fill yet, although i've had to have 2 slight defills due to being too tight! My surgeon likes to add Fluid to the band at surgery. I started off with 1.5 and now I have .6 left. It's amazing to me that such little fluid is enough to give me pretty good restriction! I still have problems with chicken and Pasta but everything else seems to go down fine. Luv my band!!!!:wink2:

100lbs in 5.5 months is really amazing!!!! :thumbup:I was hoping to equal that or come very close to it but could come halfway at 50lb weightloss(post-op) :party:. How are you doing now?

I'm glad you're doing well...that stuck feeling is no fun at all! This past sunday I had a little peice of lettuce get semi-stuck and I had to have my cousin stop on the Boulevard while I *wretched* trying to get that peice of lettuce unstuck (nothing but water came up)! Well I knew my stomach would swell the next day. This same thing happend last Sunday on beef brisket:blush: ..so now i'm back doing full liquids for a couple days and hope it goes back down...if not then this time I will get a very very very slight unfill.

Hi Ben, Don't think of yourself as selfish for wanting to get yourself healthy, in shape and living a long life! Perhaps she thought you would leave her once you get your Hott N Sexxy on! Oh well her loss...just keep it moving and live your best positive healthy life!

Hi Bloom, Sounds like you really need a slight unfill, you don't want the band to slip from being too tight. call tomorrow and tell them what happened see what advice they give you. Hope you feel better.

Hey NBflo Girl, This thread has been quiet lately. I'm glad you finally got your restriction...the lbs should really start coming off now! Just make sure you chew..chew...chew some more. I had a horrible stuck experience this past sunday on some beef brisket! I tried downward dog position, arm windmills and finally had to wretch it up ..it didnt come up though it finally went down. The next couple days my stomach was very tight so I had to go on fluids for a couple days and went in for a slight unfill, but after speaking with the Dr, I decided to wait and see how food goes down now (since i'm a sipper). I like to sip water with my food to help it go down. I was told not to even sip even a little water with my meals...we'll see how this works out.
