I'm still going through the process to submit to insurance but would like to have a buddy a that is going through this too. I'm 5'2, 44, and 221. Although I think I've been stress eating and could be more around 223 now! So how was the process for you so far? Going through insurance or self pay?

I'm 2 1/2 months out, all in all almost 50 pounds down, and I'm sooooooo happy with the results so far. The only drawback is the Constipation, but other than that, this new like is more than what I could ever dream of.. From a size 26 to a size 16... I'm forever grateful for this second chance!

Oct 10 is my big day I'm so happy I can't believe it I'm starting today clear Soup and shakes Protein to get me started and on track with lemon and Water also pray for me.

Sorry I don't understand the difference between "shakes" and "powder". "Shakes" are essentially "powder" with milk or Water added.....

They will ask about your medical history, weight loss attempts and really just make sure you understand the lifestyle change you will have to make to be successful. I was nervous too but it wasn't bad at all! Good luck! :-)

Update: I was approved yesterday! 8 calendar days total from submission to approval. I am currently set for a surgery date of 8/30.
