    Worried... advise please!

I'm 3 months out and also had a pretty uneventful recovery. You'll notice the restriction once you get to "regular" foods. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T817A using Tapatalk

    WLS Clothing Destash (LuLaRoe)

@@rolosmom7 One of the downsides (in my opinon) of LLR is that the sizing is inconsistent and it's a known problem in the company. I can't wear any of the leggings made in Korea or Guatemala. They are too "short" in the crotch. Alot of people complain about the ones made in Vietnam having that problem, but those fit me just fine. I've started buying more Agnes & Dora leggings because of the inconsistency. I am 5'7" and noticed my TCs getting "puckery" at size 14. Size 12 is a little big on me but I don't think I'm ready for a 10. I think I can fit in OS now but want to try a pair on to be sure. Waiting on a local pop up
  4. I am a daily weigher and trying to break that habit per my doctor's advice. I am also 3 months out as of 11/30. My first stall came somewhere around 6 weeks. I actually lost and gained the same pound a few times over the course of a week. I just stayed with my program but tried to increase Water. My second stall just broke yesterday. It happened at week 11 and lasted 9 days. In this case, I've gone back to the gym and was blazing away the calories I intake and then some, so I upped my Protein and calories.

    Piercings....

@ I had nipple piercings for a long time and I can say it wasn't the case with me or anyone else I knew. I had the straight metal bars because I have very large breasts. My nipples pretty much were about the same as they were pre-piercing. The only thing that was different was the reaction to cold. It's a whole different feeling when you have a piercing. I never had a huge increase in sensitivity other than during the healing phase and defintely no decrease at all, even after removing the piercings. @@Raymia I've had a nose ring for over 5 years and that sucker likes to close up ASAP if I leave it out too long. Fortunately they just let me tape is down for surgery (I was wearing a stud and not a round ring that day). I'm finding that I'm being asked less often to remove piercings. I'd like to do nipple piercings again, but dread the healing. I'm not too worried about how my chest is looking post op. I have gone down from an E to a DD and band size has gone down. I'm grateful! LOL. But they aren't sagging anymore than they already did (which wasn't bad).
  6. @@john925 You look fantastic! What a great smile too. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
  7. @@elliekay You are looking fabulous. Way to go. I also have a hard time with seeing my own loss. Even pictures take a minute for me to process. I totally understand where you're coming from on that.
  8. @@PissiChrissi well done! You are gorgeous!!!
  9. I had my surgery the Tuesday before college football season began. I was at the bar, eating eggs (on my doc's approved list) that Saturday. I continued to go out and socialize at bars and restaurants with no issue from that point on out. I had not problem doing that and sticking to my doc's plan.
  10. I am pretty solidly built and I am a busty gal. I will be 3 months out on 11/30 and people are now starting to really comment. I still don't always see it. Mirror and brain are two separate things.
  11. I need to do more and have a plan to starting weight lifting and riding my bike soon.

    Looking for August sleevers

8/30. Down 34 since day of surgery. Kind of had little stalls here and there in the 2nd month and the loss was much slower. Stuck to the plan and didn't get discouraged. I eat alot of pot roast, turkey, skirt steak, and cheese for my Protein. Now and again I will have a shake since I have a hard time getting more than 40 grams of protein in from food. My plan has a goal of 60 grams of protein until the end of the 3 month mark, where I should move up to 80. I hit onederland on 10/30.
  14. What kind of work from home job do you have? (I apologize my question is non-related, but ive been interested in working from home for a while and ive been trying to find out more information on it- that's not a scam). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App @@anywon PM me and I will tell you more. Not a scam at all. Speaking of friends, I had lunch recently with a friend who I hadn't seen for about a month. It broke my heart to hear her say "Now I'm the fat friend". I corrected her with "No, no one is the fat friend. But if you still want to be my beautiful friend that you've always been, that would be great". Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T817A using Tapatalk

    No more weight loss

@@cheryl417 I am truly sorry for what you went through. I also had Dr. Umbach, but my experience was stellar. However, I had a previous surgery (not weight related) that was botched and I had to enter into a malpractice case. I know how it feels to not only have your health compromised and have to live with that the rest of your life, but to also have to relive the experience for the case and the stress that comes with it. Please be kind to yourself through that experience. My sincerest best wishes to you.

    Anyone have Dr. UMBACH

I was sleeved by Dr. Umbach on 8/30/16. Can't say enough good things about the entire team. I live in Las Vegas and my insurance required me to use North Vista and stay one night. I had a very good experience there as well. I've also had a few appointments with Dr. Apell and he is also great. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.
  19. Sleeved on 8/30. Stopped losing for a few days 6 weeks. Then lost a pound and regained and lost the same pound for a few more days. Lost another pound, but am back up a pound. I am following my plan, so I'm not worrying about it.
  20. I've had a mixed bag. I told four people before my surgery (husband, mom, best friend, sister, and another close friend) and all were very supportive. I work from home, so I didn't have to worry about work. I see my co-workers once every 2-3 years if that. Afterwards, I didn't keep it from anyone. We are pretty social people. I live in Las Vegas and a good deal of our socializing revolves around bars and restaurants. Not bothered at all by not being able to drink alcohol or eat what I used to. But we've known most of the bartenders and servers for many years, so I didn't mind sharing with them why I couldn't have certain things. They have all been magnificent. The bar where I watch football every Saturday has even gone so far as adjusting anything I'd like on their menu and/or creating a special dish for me each week with my Protein needs in mind. I love them for that. A majority of my friends have been very supportive. One of the heavier ones was a little standoffish at first, but now that she sees a positive change in me, she's become highly supportive. Another heavier friend likes to throw in that I should have considered Plexus first. One of my thinner friends started out as supportive but now that I've dropped 30 pounds, she's been a little cool towards me. Overall I don't care what people think. Friends come and go. I am very happy with my decision for ME.

    NSV: Keeneland

Congratulations! I lived in Lexington twice and one of the things I enjoyed was fall and spring meets a Keeneland. I also miss the nighthawk steak and the Kentucky Hot Browns at Columbia. One of my very best friends lives in Mayesville and says Lexington has really changed alot but it is still beautiful in spring and fall.

  24. Praise be! Those scrambled eggs are indeed a savior! My plan cleared us to eat them when ready starting the day after post-op. They were indeed my go to meal at restaurants and saved me and my social life! LOL

    Drug screen and insurance

@@wantenergy83 I definitely don't think you are a bad person or a loser by a long shot. I am glad you found something that works to help you pain. Some of the most productive people I know use cannibas to manage their pain, PTSD, and anxiety. It's what helps them stay productive. I am a big believer of "your body, your choice". I am also very sorry about your dad. It's hard to lose someone and I can't imagine how awful that must have been to lose him to prescription pain pills. Wishing you the best and hoping your blood test turns out in your favor.
