  1. Hello friends! I am two weeks out from surgery today, and have been doing great reaching my Protein and Fluid goals. But tomorrow I start the next phase in my plan, which introduces more soft foods, and stops the Protein shakes. I know I'm going to have a very hard time reaching my protein goals without the shakes. I have heard a lot of other people on here talk about unflavored Protein powder that can be added to food. But there are so many different kinds online!!! Any suggestions??? I would like something tasteless that is easy to add to food, but also willing to try something like a fruity flavor that I can add to my Water.... Thanks in advance ???? Late June Sleeve Buddies?

Same here suzzzzz! Half a scrambled egg never tasted so good. My first day with that too. I also had a couple bites of tuna fish which went down well. It's so funny how all of our programs are so different....I can't have ground beef, or any kind of meat aside from fish, for about 4 more weeks, so I'm jealous! Late June Sleeve Buddies?

We totally feel your pain. Days 1-5 post-op were extremely difficult for me. Very depressing. Your body is going through an enormous change right now, much of which involves hormones so it may feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster. Hang in there! By day 6 I felt a huge change in my attitude for the better. Today was my first day on soft foods...I had a teaspoon of cottage cheese and a teaspoon of mashed potatoes. ...Both filled me up and tasted like heaven, and I have much more energy!!!! It WILL get better. Remember why you made this decision in the first place, and picture yourself in the future, many sizes smaller, healthy and happy! And lean on this group for support, everyone here is wonderful and it has helped me a lot. Sent from my SM-S975L using the BariatricPal App We totally feel your pain. 6. I am 5 days post-op and have been getting crazy hot flashes at least once or twice a day. I don't have a fever...not diabetic or any other health issues, and I've been keeping up with my fluids. Is this normal? Sent from my SM-S975L using the BariatricPal App

    I'm so hungry !

I totally feel your pain. There must be something about day 4. I'm at day 5 today, and yesterday I was feeling the same way...just so frustrated, hungry, depressed, feeling like I was trapped with this new stomach that was holding me hostage with no end in sight. But today was better. I'm really sick of Protein shakes and liquids too but I tried to find something just to change it up a little and I think it really helped me. I got some PB2 Protein powder and tried mixing that in my chocolate Protein shake. It was amazing. ...tasted like Peanut Butter cup ice cream. I'm still craving real food but that gave me a little boost and I'm focusing on the fact that I will be able to eat some soft foods in a few days. Hang in there girl! It will get better and it will be worth it! Sent from my SM-S975L using the BariatricPal App

    July 4th weekend so hard

Same here! I'm 4 days post op and this weekend has been torture. A lot of people say they don't feel hungry after the surgery so I wasn't anticipating it being this tough but I'm starving! Hoping next week will be a little easier. Sent from my SM-S975L using the BariatricPal App
