mdelicia reacted to melbell2222 in Scared
Well you have to find out why! There is always a reason behind the complications. Did the person not get up and walk? Did the infection come from dirty house, dirty careless care, or from touching stuff at the hospital? Mood swings from her attitude in the first place? Many many possibilities but if it's a greater chance to die getting a gallbladder out, you should be fine. Just do things by the book if your worried

mdelicia got a reaction from OKCPirate in Quitting caffeine
My sleeve date is September 15th, so to make recovery easier I unfortunately attempted to quit caffeine cold turkey. I normally have about 2 cups coffee in the AM and maybe 1 diet coke during the day, so not a huge amount. Once I hit the 24 hour mark I basically got the flu. 7 hours of feverish vomiting and pounding headaches ensued. I asked my husband to kill me please, luckily he didn't. I finally threw in the towel and drank a soda last night. STEP DOWN....please don't make the same mistake I did!

mdelicia reacted to JamieLogical in Alcohol pre op?
The OP is talking about drinking alcohol BEFORE the liquid diet starts. Seems to be a bit of confusion there.
If your surgeon gave you no restrictions for prior to the start of the pre-op diet, then I don't see why you couldn't drink alcohol.
