    Sleeved in 7 hours

Thanks for the update! I'm getting sleeved April 17th and really appreciated your posting. I know we are all different but obviously, it is important to know different people's experiences so we are prepared. I'm really happy you are feeling better.
  2. You will be fine. I know I will be a nervous wreck before surgery too. The surgery is a big deal but we aren't talking brain surgery, lol. Think about why you are having surgery and the great results that are waiting for you with this tool. Remember to ask to see anesthesiologist before surgery for him to evaluate your cold. I once had a cold and the doctor changed the method. Good Luck!

    Signs when you're full

Do you use a scale, measuring cups, eye it? Thanks

    Skincare help please!

I know we listen to our surgeon, nutritionist....but I read so many different amounts of protein daily. Can you have too much protein? I find on the pre-surgery diet I can reach 100 easily. I also want to help, if possible, the weight loss skin issues.

    New and Confused

It took me years of doctors bring up weight loss surgery to me to finally have the courage and honesty to say I need help, I can't do this alone. I was very frightened of anesthesia and an emergency operation cured me of that nonsense. I wish I had done this 15 years earlier! My operation is in a month.

Did you do this alone or with a therapist? Thank you

New to site and considering surgery

Lucky you, you are only 36! If you think your knee pain is bad now, just wait. I'm over 50 and just got the courage to get HEALTHY. Get to a Bariatric Center of Excellence, pick a surgeon and have surgery. We all have struggled and haven't been successful on our own, these tools work. Regarding saggy skin, YAHOO, it means you have lost weight. I'm getting sleaved in a month and I am so excited to live again.
  9. Mine is 4/17, what is the hardest part for you?

Wow, where do you live? I thought UHC made everyone wait 6 months with 6 nutrition classes.

    Oooh banana pancakes

OutsideMatchInside, Wow, you have done really well. I looked up the cream cheese pancake recipe and it looked great, but 300+ calories. I am getting sleaved next month, how many calories are you eating a day, now? Does it increase slowly? I have no idea. Thank you

    Withdrawals on Pre-op Diet

    I'm starving on pre-op diet! I still haven't quit caffeine because .....
  17. Get rid of your gallbladder! The sludgier it gets the more difficult the removal. Mine was so sludgy that the day after surgery I was under anesthesia again for a doctor to perform an ERCP, which is an endoscopic procedure, where they vacuum out the sludge and debris which may have entered your bile duct. No fun!

Rant - Screw my broken (pre-op) body!!!

I agree with sleep and stress it definitely effects my weight loss. Also, I never eat nuts, too hard to eat only a couple.

Need to lose 50lbs to have surgery PLS HLP!!!

Are you on medication for the hypothyroidism? Does your surgeon have a nutritionist that can help you? My personal recommendation would be a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and a healthy dinner. (lean protein and veggies) Good luck.

  22. Have you started planning how you will get your protein? i have a recipe book for shakes and I have purchased protein powder and sugar free syrup. I also plan to cook some organic chickens so I will have healthy broth to drink after surgery. What are your plans?
  23. I'm hoping for April. I don't have a baseball team to cook for but a 15 year old who's 6.4 and still growing.
