Well I found out my Dr is making a change from his practice.. He's still doing surgery at my hospital as well but he's moving from his current prsctice to the school. Of medicine there in that town and will be teaching bariatric surgery! It's awesome to know he's that good.. But now it'll be a few weeks before they have his schedule for. The rest of the year and guess who's in the group that gets to wait?? Me!! I'm so aggravated so.. I hopefully will still be October.. But just near the end of the month.. If not it'll be November.. So found out today that I was approved!!! All I know is it'll be between Oct 13 & Nov 7.. I'm hoping tomorrow I'll get the call with the surgery day.. Now it's hitting home.. I'm nervous.. Scared.. So I've been thru all my preop appts and my surgeon visit is on Wed the 31st..i can't wait.. At that time he will access me and decide if I'm a candidate or not and then if so.. I get a date pending ins approval. My only concern is I gained weight since my seminar back in May.. But several factors do come into play.. I gave up nicotine and I have been on steroids twice for a horrible upper respitory thing that finally cleared up.. My nutritionist has comforted me by letting me know things are documented and I will be fine.. But I still worry! But the only thing is now I'm at over 40 bmi so I need no comorbities.. This is my one hope... To have less pain.. My hips and knees hurt every single day... And my lower back.. I have fibro I had my knees replaced last year due to severe arthritis but they still hurt every single day.. I live in rocky mount!!! I'm going thru Nash and Dr Mann will be my Dr.. I'm still early in the process... Next week is my psychological appt then the 20TH is my second nurtrional appt then august 11 is my cardiac appt.. Then I'll finally get an appt with the surgeon.. At that point we will see what he says and submit.. Right now I'm a few pounds under 40 bmi.. And I don't have any comorbities that bcbs wants to recognize.. I am on Bp meds but not the highest dose.. I do have chronic pain and last year had to get my knees replaced at 44 yrs old due to horrible osteoarthritis.. So we will see what happens..
