  1. Do any ladies have thoughts or experience regarding how soon after having a baby you got a fill if you were breastfeeding? I don't want my supply to dry up or lessen (I'm already not producing enough milk) but I am itching to get a fill and start getting this weight off! (I only lost 20 of the 60 lbs I gained from pregnancy and now I'm just stuck!) I had half my Fluid taken out around 10 weeks pregnant (4 cc) and will probably have to get 1 cc at a time and pay $250 out of pocket each time so I don't want to go too soon... Should I just wait for 6 months of breastfeeding (ideally I will breastfeed for 1-2 years) and see what happens after that? I'll will be 3 months post pardem on Aug 13. I would love some opinions!

    Diet after delivery

I haven't called my band doctor yet and I will be 3 months PP on Aug 13. I will do what he suggests in terms of getting a fill, although I'm sure my husband will be against since I am still breastfeeding (but having to supplement due to low supply). We'll see!

    Weight Gain

If you are eating carbs again and you weren't before you unfill (like I was) that could also contribute to a crazy fast weight gain. It should even out though! (at least it did for me)

    Pregnant!!!!

Thank you! I'm considering starting some natural labor techniques after my baby shower tomorrow, lol. Bouncing on my yoga ball, sex, walking, maybe red raspberry leaf tea capsules if I can stomach them!

I'm feeling pregnant and so over it! Lol I'm 37 weeks today. I'm tired, sore in the hips, I have round ligament pain and a groin pull (both on the right side), and forget about even trying be comfortable in bed! Here's hoping he comes earlier rather than later

    Pregnant!!!!

I would guess you are still swollen! If you were throwing up a lot then it may take a while for the swelling to go down

    Third Trimester...

You are not alone! I am having this same issue. I lost 97 lbs before getting pregnant so I have hanging skin on my stomach...I've gained about 45 lbs since being pregnant and getting half of my Fluid taken out. I am growing appropriately and not measuring big or anything, but I very much still just feel fat even though I really do look pregnant. It's a big struggle to go from focusing so much on getting smaller to being okay with getting bigger! My only advice is to remember that pregnancy is temporary and try to enjoy your growing body! It's doing amazing things on the inside right now, even if you feel gross on the outside That's what I try to remind myself!

    So scared...

Good luck!!! One fill is plenty if you are prego now. Hopefully, it will be a small enough amount that you don't swell and have to it taken out! I had 4 cc taken out when I was about 8-10 weeks pregnant due to swelling and being unable to eat (I had 8 cc in total) and after getting a new job and switching insurance, I am also self-paying for fills! (So lame!) Come here, or message me, or check out baby center.com for support! There is a plus size and pregnant board and while not too many of them have had lap band surgery, its a good place to help cope with being plus size and having your body grow!
  12. Hello fellow bandsters! I updated my blog today! http://wtfovaries.blogspot.com/

    preggo question!

I had half my Fluid out but it was by choice. I was swollen and unable to eat without getting stuck on everything. I still have restriction but I am eating pretty regularly. My doctor didn't seem to care how much he took out. I don't think he would have made me take any out if I didn't want too, and I was really scared he would because my nutritionist said he would so don't believe everything you hear! I'm 25 weeks and I've gained 27 lbs, but I've been steadily gaining 1-2 lbs a month after my initial gain from losing my restriction. Try not to fret too much and remind yourself nutrition for the baby is the most important thing right now!
  14. That's a loaded question! I was off birth control for 8 months as well before I got pregnant. I was very close to going to see a specialist. Most doctors recommend you see a specialist if you haven't gotten pregnant in a year and you are under 35. There is no good answer for you, however. It really depends on your medical history! Have you ever been tested for any fertility issues before?
  15. Updated my blog last night...with baby bump pictures! http://wtfovaries.blogspot.com/

baby bump too big too soon?

There is a time in the beginning of pregnancy where some women "pop" and go from looking chubby to round and pregnant. Don't forget, everyone grows babies differently! I highly doubt it's cause for concern!
  17. Way to go with making the decision! Keep us updated! Losing any amount of weight before having a baby will help you in the long run!

To Baby or NOT to Baby

Newly banded people get pregnant by accident all the time! That being said, I would wait a bit longer for you and your body. Pregnancy is a huge change to your body (I'm currently 22 weeks) and if you aren't prepared to deal with the changes mentally, it could make your weight loss stall even more so after the baby is born. Get more into getting healthy and learn all you can before making such a drastic change physically! Good luck!
