    Band > Sleeve now what?

I had the band too and im now looking to have the bypass. I also have an out of control seewt tooth. I am being weighed monthly by my dietitian andI have been loosing about 8 to 10lbs a visit. I'm doing a low carb diet, but I can't kick the sweet tooth. I have found taking a quick shot of ready whip helps. It's low on carbs and calms the cravings a little. My mother has the bypass and has gained some of the weight back do to snacking on sweets. She doesn't have dumping syndrome in the least. You're doing fine with the sleeve you just need to find healthier options if you're going to cheat. Hang in there.
  2. Thats good to hear. Thanks for the input.
  3. Even though I never noticed any signs of reflux the scope revealed severe damage from it. They even told me I was at a high risk for esophagus cancer. The surgeon said he would not do the gastric sleeve because it would be suicide. I know my esophagus was good after my pre Lap-Band scope. I know some women who have had the bypass including my mother, but no men. I was wondering what I can expect as far as muscle loss and that sort of thing. Thanks for everyone's input.
  4. Hello, I recently was told that my esophagus would not tolerate the gastric sleeve and the bypass was my only option. I was wondering what other guys have experienced with the bypass surgery and what I can expect. I had the lap band a wile back and had good success until it prolapsed. Thanks for any input.
